  1. well now that you point it, i dont understand why it says that the systeam has been running for that long, i literaly rebooted the pc 5 min before the screenshoot, i guess i have to do a clean format. I understand that it might llok that the is too much stuff going on, but honestly, this is the way it has always been, and the Cpu, never drops from 100%, and besides, it a 16 threads cpu, with 32 gb of ram, it honestly has plenty of room to have a lot of work going on
  2. well, with laptops and Hdd, this is normal, it usuall means that your hdd is bottlenecking your pc, you should try change it for an ssd, it really is rellay common to see a laptop's hdd at a 100%
  3. Specs. Cpu: ryzen 7 1700 Cpu cooler: Be quiet dark rock pro 4 Memory: 32 gb of ddr4 3000 mhz g skill ripjaws (2x16) Gpu: RTX 2070 Super Boot drive: m.2 NVME, 480 gb (cabnt remember the brand, but it was a fast one, 1500 read and 1000 write, i guess) 4tb of HDD, PSU: 750 watts Be quiet Windows: windows 10 pro, updated (14 of august of 2019) the issue is that the task manager ALWAYS show the CPU, at a 100%, even when the computer just booted up, only with explorer opened, and as you can see, it is a really capable machine, i dont see a lot of drops in perfomance, maybe a little bit of performance drop since last week, but i am not really sure. this started happening after the last windows update (date in the description).... but this only happens in the task manager, when i use MSI afterburner, it show ""normal"" info, the cpu going at arounf 5-20 % most of the time, even when i am playing it is at 40-70%, and my clue here to think that the task manager is wrong, is that the Cpu temps never go above 40°-50° (well at least accoring to msi afterburner). i am not really sure why is this happening, is somebody having the same issue? should i format my computer? i already did a malware scan, and nothing is showing up, even disconnected the computer from the internet, just to see if someone was minning from my computer, but it always stays at a 100%. should i ignore this if i dont have a perfomance issue? or should i wait for another windows update? in the picture below, the msi after burner reading are in the task bar
  4. you were right, i changed the gpu to another pc and the problem persisted, then i went to the retail shop were i bought it and they refound me after testing it, it was dead, shame, because in my small country (costa rica) we are not really a target for big companies like amd, and the retail store were i got the was the first one to have it in the country, and they only got 5 of those, 1 been damaged means that the 20% of their stock was damaged, bad luck i guess, well, like they only had 5 of those, i had to change for another one, and now i got my self a brand new 2070 super, couldnt be any happier now, thanks for the advice
  5. honestly, temps were fine, never got above 70 degress, i was was relaly loud, but not the worst i've experienced
  6. i dont think it is dead, i restart the computer and everything goes back to normal, sttutering and tearing only occurs when is under load
  7. I've been having a lot of issues with my new saphire RX 5700 XT, from screen tearing to stuttering, black screens, system shutting down, everything, i can't even play games anymore, without fearing that i will crash and close. drivers are up to date, everything wored "fine" before, did a clean driver installation, uninstalled in safe, installed again, my drivers version is 19.7.2, whic according to every website, is the latest. i dont know if i ahve to go for warranty, or just wait until this drivers nightmare ends my system OS: windows 10 64 bits with the latest june patch CPU: R7 1700 Cpu Cooler: Be quiet dark rock pro 4 Mobo: Msi B350 Gaming plus Ram: 32 gb of gskill ddr4 3000 mhz SSD: 512 gb m.2 teamgroup Psu: 550 PSU thermaltake bronze 80+ Cpu Cooler: Be quiet dark rock pro 4 Case: in win 101 VID_20190720_095004.mp4
  8. I think i found the cause, i tried with third stick of 16 (i got my hands on one from a computer i was building), same brand same speed, and the system worked properly, aparently it is an issue realated to using a 8 gb sticks combine with 2 16 gb sticks, speeds and CPU overclock went fine when i plugged the third 16 gb stick, psu issue is out of the equation. i need 48 gbs of ram for 3-D modeling, and unreal, even thoug unreal says that it doesnt benefict from more than 32 gb of ram, i often find my self using 5 to programs a the time (sketchup for odeling, phothoshop and substance por texture mapping, unreal engine and other software such as chomre for music, whatsapp and tons of explorer folders, i just dont want to be in the very edge of perfomance, haven't had an issue with 32 so far, but you never know
  9. While gaming on the new "rtx games" i am trying to get screenshoots from the game, using alt + f1, from geforce experience, but eveytime it gets like a blue like filter, it only happens on metro exodus, battlefield 5 and shadow of the tomb raider, every other non-RTX game, works fine, no matter if i turn RTX off, it appears like that no matter if RTX is on or off. Drivers are up to date (version 430.86 as june 15 2019) games are up to date, windows 10 is up to date ( version 1903). Thanks Rtx 2060 6gb R7 1700 32 GB of ram 2866 mhz
  10. And second quiestion my specs belowMSI B350 Gamin PlusRyzen 7 1700 3.75 ghzBe quiet dark rock pro 4 cooler32 gb of 2400 mhz ram, G skill ripjaws (2x16)RTX 2060 Zotac Amp edition240 Kinsgton ssd2 tb 7200 rpm hdd1 tb standart hdd750gb standart hddpsu 500w thermaltake6 rgb fans and 1 rgb led stringThe issue is that: can i use a third 16 gb of ram to achieve 48 gb of ram? or using 3 sitck on a dual channel motherboard presents issues? i already tried with a 8 gb of ram stick, a 2400 mhz one, but diferent brand, hyper ex fury, and my system crashed, the computer didnt boot at all, and when it did, it was after like 2 min of reseting it self on and off,and it only showed 2133 mhz in the ram, and my cpu couldnt be overclocked in the bios, if i changed the clock speed in the bios, the computer didnt boot, i removed the aditional 8gb stick and everything went back to normal Should the number of sticks in a motherboard always must be pair? To resume, i dont know what cause the issue, the first question or the second one, rather it is my psu the one who can't handle everything that i am trowing at this bad boy, or that simply using 3 sticks of ram aint worth, and it means that my next upgrade have to be another 32 gb of, to fill the 4 slots of ram, i dont know.
  11. My setup Mobo: Msi B350 Gaming plus Cpu: Ryzen 7 1700 - Wraight spire led cooling (default one) Ram 24 gb of ram dd4, 16 g skill ripjaws 2400 and 8 gb Fury Hyper Ex Gpu: Zotac Amp RTX 2060 6gb Hard drives: - Kingston 240 ssd -2 tb hdd WD 7200 rpm -1 tb unknown brand and rpm hdd -750 (backup) hdd unknown brand and rpm Psu:Thermaltake Smart 500W 80+ White Certified PSU The case has 6 redragon rgb fans, properly installed, so ariflow shouldnt be an issue the psu link bellow https://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-Certified-Continuous-cooling-PS-SPD-0500NPCWUS-W/dp/B014W3EM2W Ok, now lets give the details, the psu was making a shit ton of noice and i was sick of that, it is realativy new, like 5 months, and i had a SP120 LED Blue High Static Pressure 120mm Fan to spare, from a previous built, and i decided after watching some tutorials sto change the fan, the psu default fan was a TT-1225 120mm Dark Clear Case Fan, and i pluged my corsair fan not to the 2pin connector that is deafult inside the psu, but rather to a 3pin connector inside Mobo, and with Command center (from msi) i was able to create a fan curve for this fan even to is was a 3 pin fan. My question is this one, how do i make sure that the fan is spinning at the proper speed (usually higher rpm result in a noisier experience, and i am trying to go as quiet as i can) in theory this corsari fan has a better CFM air flow perfomance than the default one 57.24 vs 41.6 CFM, andi havent had any issues with the system, i ahve been doing rendering for two days now, and everything seems fine (nothing has caught fire) and perfomance is being pretty much the same, without the noisy fan, cpu temps seem fine (45-51c under normal circuntances 50-60c under work and 60-65c while rendergin and gaming). i created this fan curve for the PSU fan to make sure the psu wont overheat, but to be honest, since i can't read the psu temp, i have no idea if this will work fine, since i am just using the cpu temps as reference for the curve, the idea would be to go as quiet and noise free as i can, without compromising the psu integrity and my system burning in the fire of mount doom, since i make 3d rendering i ofter leave my system working overnight and sometimes for 40-70 strigh hours under heavy load (lumion and vray ussers will know). What can i do?
