got a display port to dvi adapter since i wanted to use my old monitor as a second monitor since it only had dvi and vga outputs. my graphics card only has hdmi and display port. when i tried using it, it wasnt detected. any help? that is true haha, at least I know my 4ghz overclock is stable. I guess I'll run prime95 on my old 4690k computer.

I'm new at this. My teacher at school was talking about prime numbers. He was talking about the Great Mersenne Prime Search. He told us if you had a good computer, try finding primes using it. I have a decent PC with a Ryzen 5 2600 at 4.0ghz. Here's my current progress so far, how do you know if you've found a prime number. Also what does the ETA thing stand for. asking for a friend about these issues. he recently installed a 1050ti in his system all i know is that he has an i5 2400, 8gb of ram, 240gb hdd and a 1050ti. he said it was working before and that this error now happens.

(update) if it put it on its side it works fine idk whats even happening lmao. but sometimes the psu fan and cpu fan are the only fans spinning and it doesnt boot

My pc has been like this the past week.
