  1. Edit: I just one stick of ram in the 2nd slot on my motherboard and tried to run it on xmp but it failed to load giving me a message that the overclocked settings didn't work.
  2. If I put in either stick individually it will boot up at the default mhz (2133) and I can even use xmp to make it run faster(3000). However when both are in at the same time the mhz will only run at 800mhz. I tested both sticks of ram separately in both of the dual channel slots and they ran perfectly it's only when I combine the two and it recognizes that the ram is in dual channel.
  3. Motherboard: MSI Z390-A Pro Ram: DDR4-3000 Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8gbs GPU: GTX 1660ti CPU: i5-9600k I recently built a pc for my little brother and I noticed that the RAM is not running at the proper mhz. I have the RAM installed in the proper slots, have the latest version of bios running, but the memory won't run higher than 400mhz(800mhz) even though it has the capability to run at 1066mhz(2132mhz). The memory mhz is set to auto in the bios which it defaults to 2133mhz but it won't run at higher than 800mhz. I tried to set the bios manually but that caused the pc to not boot properly and force me back into the bios to set the mhz back to default. I also tried each stick individually and they both ran properly at 2133mhz so I know that the problem is not the ram. CPU-Z Slot #2 CPU-Z Slot #4 Memory Tab CPU-Z
