  1. any suggestions on vpns?
  2. last time i checked i had 13 hops. Is there anyway to fix my situation? Or change ISP even tho i dont think it would change much.
  3. Hi, I said Ping. I have a issue, can someone please help me, haha. My issue is, when I am playing Fortnite, I get a nice thick 60-70 ping contently. I am above average player so a lot of my issues come back down to untimely latency. I am in North Dakota, and my ping to my servers locally is like 6ms. Im not sure why it x10+? I have 1000mbps down and 20mbps up PS - if the only thing is to move, then where should i move. I am going to move next summer so i need some ideas, haha.
  4. So, I am using a NDI source to get my gaming rig on my laptop and I am using my laptop to stream the content. I have a rtx 2070 and a 6 core I7 in my laptop with laptop fan base under for cooling. What is happening is when I am running the auto config on my laptop, it shuts down all internet in my house for like 30-45 seconds. I am thinking it is overheating so it is resetting, but im not sure why it would because it is a really nice one? The model is a "surfboard 8200." I have one gig port going to a gig switch and that runs one to my laptop and one to my desktop. The other gig port on the modem is going upstairs to the router. Is the modem not strong enough? Should I get a server or something?
  5. mo the hgher bandwith womt with my pimn?
  6. Yes, directly to the modem. Out modem has 2 ethernet gigabyte outputs
  7. Ok coolio, would it help with my ping you think? They run fiber to the box and then the box splits it, its not very far away so the direct connection woulnt be very far.
  8. Hey Everyone! I am a streaming/content creator and I play Fortnite. I was thinking of ways I could up my streams and content and I thought about upgrading my internet. Only issue is that i'm already maxed at speeds but im still getting weird results. Im suppose to be getting 1000 and 20, but im getting like 800 and 17. Streaming and content is business and I talked with the ISP and we would be able to upgrade to fiber. I'm waiting for my response from what other speeds they have as of now, because getting a higher upload would be nice for streaming/bitrate so it isnt pixilated. I am also getting around 60-70 ping on fortnite and I am in North Dakota. When I got to my school and play on my laptop I get 20-40 instead. Would getting fiber help with this? I know its possible to get these speeds because ive seen it myself. I just want to get a lower ping and be able to stream quality content, would fiber help this? Id rather not have to move near the fortnite servers to get a better ping, haha. I have the money to be able from the "support a creator" program and from subs and whatnot, but getting fiber ran would be easier and cheaper then renting a apartment in a place in NY or California.
