Not familiar with your board - I have a X570-E - but can you reboot via boot firmware on a USB? Mine has a Boot USB port at the back. Yours must have a similar thing. Have you seen this? https://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-B450-F-GAMING/HelpDesk/

In my case it did not find the operating system and would not boot at all. I had a similar issue. I put a Windows setup USB drive and started the PC. Sure enough it booted into Windows setup.

I have a strix x570-E motherboard. Recently I found that whilst recovering drive using Acronis recovery tool, the keyboard would not work on boot to choose the options. I ended up buying a USB keyboard to resolve this. Is there a specific USB port for the keyboard dongle that will boot the wireless keyboard?

Just set this up and get Motherboard codes "AA", "40" etc. which are not in the manual. What are these please? Also, is there a full list somewhere?

Not sure if this is the right forum. Looking for software (purchased / free) to backup certain files / folders. I want to backup (say Confidential folder with files) from D Drive to another drive (F Drive). What I need is a software that can back up the whole Confidential folder to start with and then back up only changed files. In other words, need software that can sync both the folders automatically at regular times.

Asus Strix X570-E has a 2.5G LAN and a LAN ports. Does it matter which one I use? I have normal 100mg internet connection.

Finally picked up the courage to update the bios:( All went well and got a message that the bios was updated. For some reason the PC, on reboot, got stuck for ages. Rebooted few times - unplugged the mains, video cable etc. - no luck in the boot, blank screen. Tried to put Windows 10 USB stick in and it booted with a message to reinstall Windows 10!!! Fortunately had backed up the C drive with Acronis before the bios update! Reinstalled Win 10 and then recovered the drive with Acronis. All ok now but what a pain! BTW the Bios version in bios is the latest now.

Thanks guys. Building in different room with wifi connection - so do not want to chance internet connection. can you format a "large" USB (10Gb) into FAT? My MB is the latest from Asus so maybe NTFS should be ok.

Need to update bios on Asus Strix X570-E board. Does the usb need to be formatted in FAT or is NTFS ok?

Built the pc today with this board. The Bios states the version is 0807 X64 07/08/2019. I cannot see this on the Asus support. Am I in a wrong place as I am worried about flashing a wrong latest bios. Also, can I back up the bios just in case there is an issue?

Strange thing is that I inserted a third party USB wifi adapter which works straight away!!

Build a 3700X on Asus Astrix X570-E WiF mother board with 32gb G.skill V memory. Have a new Dell ultra res monitor as well. Only 1Tb M.2 ADATA drive. On first boot, nothing happened - not even a BIOS screen. As a trial, I put a windows install USB in the port and restarted. Strange! It started loading Windows! Problem I have is that I cannot get Wifi to work - wifi controller enabled in BIOS. Not tried ethernet cable as the build is in a different room.

As a newbie you have lost me! How can I ensure that this is not the case. All be Quitet (just responded to my email) is "The PWM Cable can go to any FAN Header on your motherboard. Just make sure you set it to PWM in your BIOS."

Using a be quiet dark base 900 pro rev 2 case with Asus Rog Strix X570-E motherboard. The case has a cable from the PCB Panel Box at the back of the case (runs LCD, fans etc) and has a cable coming off it which has, what looks like, a 4 pin "fan connector". The manual states " PWM connector to the motherboard". I am confused as to where on the motherboard this one goes. I have a CHA_Fan1, CHA_Fan2 and an extra CPU Fan connector. Does it connect to one of these please? There is also a spare motherboard AIO pump connector which I am not using.

Sure but I have had instances where the software does not give you any location choice. I avoid applications from C drive and also have moved Docs / Downloads to other drive.

Thanks a lot. I am leaning that way. I can always use part of C drive (folder) for faster data work. My current C drive is just over 500Gb (with some junk!)

Have an ADATA 1Tb M.2 which I want to be boot drive and install Windows 10 on. Should I use the whole as C drive or partition it? Trouble with my exisiting pc is that C drive just keeps growing all the time, so not sure of space required.

Need to install this on Astrix X570-E board. To me it seems that the "XPG" worded sticking bit goes on the Chip. I have seen it on Youtube. So, my question is that when I install it, I assume I need to put the Strix-E M.2 cover on it (with the sticky paper removed). I hope I have made this clear.

Building a new PC from scratch - windows 10. New PC will run fresh copy of windows 10 from a new 1Tb M.2 storage on X570 board. My question is I have 5 normal SATA HDs (5400 / 7200) which I want to transfer to the new PC. I need these for the Data - as I have a fresh copy of windows, I will re-install all the necessary programs from scratch. Will these drives "migrate" - I know I will have to switch the drive letters around.

Apologies for a dumb question - so, the pin above +HDLED PIN 1 (for PLED) is PIN 1 as well? What happens if I get the PLED the other way round please?

My Asus X570-E manual system connections shows this. Do I assume Pin 1 is positive? For PLED, PWRBTN and RESET, can thwy be inserted either way? Apologies if this is not clear question.

Need to check out a new Dell 27in monitor for dead pixels(if any). Can someone recommend a tool that may help please?
