  2. I've been a Linux user since 2014, and recently, I have been reading a lot about filesystem indexing. Was curious to know how windows search works. Particularly, • Does it automatically index, either in repeated intervals, or based on changes to the filesystem? • Does the search first check in the index, and then search the full filesystem anyway? Is this why search always take a lot of time to complete, even if the file is found (in the index) immediately? ⮚ If yes, won't that cause issues... like reduce the life of the spinning hard disk? More information or links to read would also be appreciated Thanks
