So i finally got bottered to test this.
The solution was to set the RAM first to default bios setting 2193, then put both sets in.
Change the bios to 2933mhz. Currently they show in task manager that they are running at 2733mhz put work flawless. since my current setup doesnt have huge advantage of 3200mhz vs 2733 (i guess - i7 8700, 1080 strix) im holding on to both kits
Thanks!
Well i had my 8gb kit laying around so since they can overclock to 2933 mhz I assumed that the timing and speed could match and therefore work. Going to try what @ddennis002wrote above and try my luck. I dont need the 8gb set I just wanted to see if it wants to work for what costs :)
(Afterthought: maybe it doesnt work because I changed the xmp profile.......?) Well well.
Thanks for answers :)
Hello,
I got now two different types of sticks:
2x 4gb DDR4 HyperX Fury 2666mhz Cl 15
2x 8GB DDR4 Hyperx Fury 3200 MHZ CL16
When i try them together my pc wont even start. Can these not run together/is there a way that i can make them run together?
yes, airblow the ports, my pc is mint. and the chips have no signs on em.
The seller refunded me the money and away they go tomorrow ?
What a shame - was looking forward to 16gb
okey here is everything i found...
Cooler Master B500 V2 Komplett edition
ATX 12V v2,3. 80plus, 1x 4+4 cpu, 2x 6+2pin pcie, 6x sata, 3x molex. productnumber: RS500-ACABB1-BK
I have one Samsung curved 34" and a 24" AOC something
So i finally got my extra kit of two hyperx fury 2666mhz 4gb (totall now 4x4gb).
When i pushed them all inn and tried to start my pc wouldnt even get to the bios... Never seen that problem before.
Guessing its the psu? or bad ram? Or is it just little me that needs to do something in the bios before install?
- Asus TUF Z370 Plus Gaming
- Intel I7-8700 (non-k)
- Hyperx Fury 2x4gb 2666mhz (finally now have two more so its going to be 16gb when it works)
- Msi 1060 3gb OC
- 500W psu
- 1 tb SHD
- Coolermaster cpu aircooler
- 3 fans (two front, one exhaust)
Thanks alot! i'm not really secure about amd vs nvidia. personally i prefer nvidia - the prices here in norway for equal parts from the companies are about the same.
Psu is a coolermaster 500W 80 plus

What is the best "budget" solutions to go for? - Is an 1080ti used a good solution?
I was considering either a Intel optane 32gb or an m.2 SSD 500Gb.
Currently the Gpu is about 66c while gaming ang so are the Cpu. SO, my main question is - What is the best upgrades?
