  1. I want to flash my bios to a new beta bios but when I click Mflash, it reboots (which is normal) but never gets in to the mflash. Just a black screen for 3min and then Im back in the bios. Mobo: x399 Meg Creation Curent Bios: 7B92v13 CPU: 2990wx Storage: 970 pro 2x (raid 0)
  2. Good setup. Definitely will be enough cooling capacity
  3. Thats not what I was looking for
  4. Should be suppoted because the socket is the same
  5. I saw a lot people having problems going over 4Ghz and their voltages are higher. Im hoping I have a highly binned CPU and if my oc of 4.15Ghz stable, i have hope for 4.25GHz
  6. Build: CPU: 2990wx GPU: 2x RTX 2080 Strix Sli NVlink MOBO: x399 MSI Meg creation NVMe: 2x 970 Samsung PRO 512Gb Raid 0 RAM: 32Gb (8gb x 4) vengeance 2400MHz, Clocked to 2667 Cooling: Hailea ultra titan hc500 (790watt cooling capacity) PSU: 1300w seasonic prime 80+gold UPC:1350W I have a stable overclock of 4.15Ghz @ 1.35V. I would like to achieve 4.25Ghz at least. Curently I am at 4.2Ghz at 1.38V (Tdie 44C), aida64 extreme is no problem but after a couple cinebench runs it black screens. I dont have any other volatges set. Can someone help with what else i should configure? Thanks
  7. I have full isolation tubes already tested just need to put them on and 4.1GHz is on 1.385V
  8. Build: CPU: 2990wx @ 4.1Ghz all core GPU: 2x RTX 2080 Strix Sli NVlink (vertical mount because i had aorus pro mobo with different spacing... i aint spending 80Eur on a 5Eur part... so just got the pcie extension cables and used a cnc machine) MOBO: x399 MSI Meg creation NVMe: 2x 970 Samsung PRO 512Gb Raid 0 RAM: 32Gb (8gb x 4) vengeance 2400MHz, Clocked to 2667 Cooling: Hailea ultra titan hc500 (790watt cooling capacity) PSU: 1300w seasonic prime 80+gold UPC:1350W Use: Sketchup V-ray hybrid rendering (GPU and CPU) I have some questions about overclocking the cpu above the 4.1Ghz on all cores. 1. I think im going to need to upgrade the ram probably to 3200Mhz cl14... Is there any point to oc it more with a shitty ram? 2. How far can the 2990wx can go with the chilled water? 3. Is there any good guides for overclocking the 2990wx with voltages? 4. Should the gpus also be watercooled? Thinking of Hard Tubing it in the pc with them exiting at rop of the back and having soft tubing from there. 5. What should be the next upgrade? sorry for the bad photo but still need to finnish the cable managment thanks.
  9. I was upgrading today to the new w10 update because the they added optimazations to the threadrippers series but it is shit... i have to run core prio just fix the core switching everytime. I did run a powershell code to turn of bunch w10 bullshit and switch to some w7 stuff also (default apps,...) but thats it
  10. I have an old 1060 card. I just dont want to use w10 anymore im so tired of it.
  11. if the quadro works ill switch to 3x p4000
  12. Build: CPU: 2990wx (waterchiller) GPU: RTX 2080 2x NVlink, Quadro P4000 MOBO: x399 aorus pro (will be switching to megs creation later) NVMe: 2x 970 Samsung PRO 512Gb RAM: 32Gb vengeance 2666MHz, Clocked to 2993 Question: Is it possible to get mac os on this configuration? The usage for the PC is Sketchup Design and Vray Rendering (primarly). Id switch to linux but cant get vray for it and problems with sketchup. I can get those programs for mac. Im really tired of windows and if there is any possibility of doing this ill try it out. Thanks for suggestions
  13. What RAM should be along with this build? im gonna switch to the MSI Board. The RAM I have is Like two years old CL17 2666MHZ clocked to 2933 for the past two months on this new build. I just dont want to bottleneck the system.
  14. I didnt want to invest in a new mobo but looks Like i have to. would ASUS ROG STRIX X399-E GAMING be an option? or i have to buy the MSI 500EUR mobo?
  15. Curent setup: CPU: 2990wx clocked to 3.7GHz Mobo: x399 aorus pro GPU: 2x 2080 asus gaming oc rtx (nvlink sli) RAM: 4x 2933Mhz 32gb Cooling for CPU: Hailea Ultra 1500 HC waterchiller 790W (GPU waterblocks Will be added) Block: XSPC Raystorm Neo TR4 Storage: 2x m.2 970 PRO 512gb (in raid) Powersupply: 1300W seasonic gold case: big tower phaentooks pro (without panels) Problem: I'm having bunch of problems overclocking the CPU to more than 3.7 and having it stable. IF I set it to more then 3.8 and run stress tests the PC will shut off. All the temperatures are great only one is really troubling me. The temp IRF IR 35201 when running aida 64 extreme can go to 115C and above after running for only 7min (The CPU Tctl is max 67C and Tdie is max 40C) The PC is in an airconditioned server room with a 2 120mm on top, 3x 4500 40x40 fans on top of VRMs, 120mm on the back of the mobo, 140mm on back and front and the case is open. Am I experiencing limitations of the motherboard or is there any solution for this? The PC is used for rendering in VRAY. Thanks in advance
