This card requires an 8 pin PCIe cable and a 6 pin PCIe cable for power. At the moment I only have an 8 pin cable (I have ordered the 6 pin cable) to connect the GPU to my powersupply which is a EVGA Supernova 850 G2:

My question is would it be ok to use the GPU with only the 8 pin connection while I wait for the 6 pin to come in, or would this damage the GPU in some way?
