Hopefully a an admin or dev can reply, which software do you feel (free/paid) is the best at all levels of experience.

yeah ive pulled the trigger, 860 EVO canceled ordered the Intel 660p 1Tb... still will have faster throughput than SATA 3... thanx for the follow ups

i have 860 EVO m.2 on order, but i would need to put it in M2A, and 970 EVO PLUS would have to go into M2B which is PCIe 2.0.

more to the fact that i have 2 m.2 and was hoping to filling m2b the second socket with 1Tb ssd but the manual states: 1x M.2 connector (Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280/22110 SATA and PCIe 3.0 x4/x2 SSD support) (M2A_SOCKET) 1 x M.2 connector (Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280 PCIe 2.0 x4/x2 SSD support) (M2B_SOCKET) have samsung 970 evo plus 256Gb in socket 1 was wanting to filling socket 2

im just gonna send the m.2 back and get a larger 2.5 ssd... i appreciate all responses and feedback.

its Windows.. slow is what the turtle gets.. we get Windows.. 10 feeling i may jumped the purchase gun and should have just bought a larger 2.5 ssd

i have 250Gb 970 evo plus in M2A, just for OS. this is where the question lies, would it be beneficial to use the M2B or just buy a larger 2.5" SSD?

so give the scenario at hand.. what would be better, fill second slot less cables nvme or just buy a larger 2.5 ssd?

i guess i thought it would be nerdy of me to fill both slots, just thought since he needs a new 2.5 ssd, i would fill the second m.2 slot. thank you for all the responses btw. but it seems i just need to buy a larger 2.5 sdd and just forget about the second m.2 slot, unless it somehow provided some faster throughput
