  1. AAA games reuse the same cycles of the past and pray constantly that this isnt the year we're finally fed up. This is why i typically fall in with sandbox-type games, especially when mods are supported. Space Engineers is a great example. Vanilla, its pretty fun; you can get plenty of hours experimenting with the building and physics; but eventually you will get bored, join a server with a community, trading, and plenty of other improvements, and it's like playing an entirely new game. ARK is another great example of a community-driven game, as well as mods. Prey is a great solo game, you can play the game 20 times and always approach objectives differently, probably have different outcomes too. But overall i agree, most games ARE boring. i have a small chunk of hope regarding Ghost Recon Breakpoint, but i'm sure even that will grow old eventually, as all AAA games do with a severe lack of a modding community, as well as the HORRIBLE services they have been providing us...
  2. I MIGHT know one guy who may have one somewhere worst case scenario i can call up the Best Buy a few minutes away and see if they would be willing to do a flash. Or i could be a bit less lazy if that doesnt work and go to microcenter... I'll have to see what info i can find when i get off of work <(^-^)>
  3. Already sent out a report... now its just a matter of patience Was hoping to have this rig operational by the weekend, guess thats a fat no now... Thank you very much for your help Ankerson, its greatly appreciated!
  4. I tried a different usb stick; same results... Both were Fat32, both contained extracted files of F13 Here's a video of how the board is acting: And also included are 2 images of exactly how i have the USB drive setup
  5. I unplugged every single cable except the motherboard power connector every single device is also unplugged; basically just the psu and the board that board boots up, wait about 8 seconds, then shuts off for a few seconds, then turns back on again, then every 1-2 seconds it will shut off for a millisecond and turn itself back on again and repeat eternally I waited 5 minutes, never saw a light on, inside or near the usb port flickering, and the access-indicator light on my usb stick never flashed once. Instead of VGA or DRAM lights being on, the CPU light turns on every single time it turns back on There is no diagnostic code to work with This is depressing
  6. This motherboard is giving me quite a difficult time. I just bought it alongside an i7-9700k, RTX 2080 xtreme oc, and 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR4 RAM; powrered by an 850 watt Gold-Certified PSU also by Corsair. But it refuses to boot, and Gigabyte wants me to wait 3-7 days to wait for them to "Maybe" have an answer. And as far as im concerned, thats bullshit for what could be a 2-3 sentence response. So heres the issue; i power up, everything inside lights up, fans are spinning, etc. The on-board led numeric diagnostics start going through a list. during the scan, theres a tiny red light near the diagnostics labeled "DRAM"; its glowing red. Eventually, that one turns off and an identical light right next to it labelled "VGA" lights up, and the diagnostics get stuck on code "18"... googling the code has provided me with NOTHING... a few people say its possibly the graphics card, but even taking out the card and trying to use onboard, still gets stuck on 18. Some have also said i need to flash the bios as 9700k might not be available stock. Thats fine, the manual states that the z370 Aorus Gaming 7 supports Q-Flash plus, so it doesnt matter if my processor isnt supported, it should pick up on the bios on the usb stick and update on its own! The manual says it can. But it doesnt say how. Google says "Use the white usb port", but i only have yellow, blue and red ports... and none seem to react to the usb stick. Anyway, can anyone either tell me HOW to Q-Flash Plus this board OR what error code 18 might be?! Cuz this has taken me the last 2 days trying to figure out and i've gotten NOWHERE, and i'm ready to snap out of frustration. Any questions, please ask, i have no problem supplying information. Thank you all so much for the help!
  7. @Stormseeker9 Thats actually a great idea; i hadnt considered that but with the higher energy draw over extended periods, Gold would definitly be more reliable and cheaper in the long term. Will definitly look into those, thank you!
  8. Hello everyone! I lost my original account but i been here for awhile, sadface. Anyway, recently some life issues have started nipping away at me, and a friend and i decided to pool our resources. We plan on moving, sharing an apartment, and of course getting jobs, but we want to do streaming as well, hopefully one day as a full-time job. Currently we plan to dedicate 2-4 full days depending on our money situation to streaming, and will be streaming everything from simple 2D titles such as Stardew Valley and Starbound, all the way up to VR titles like Beat Saber, A Township Tale, and PavlovVR. Firstly, i'm going to be selling my current rig as it just cant keep up with the demands of streaming or even 1080p recording at a steady framerate. But it handles everything else like a king as far asi'm concerned and has really astounded me every day i play. I checked the value on PCPartPicker and got an estimate of $778.84, with several parts not included as i didnt manually input pricing. I was wondering if anyone would have an estimate of what i could sell for; again, the estimate is without all parts valued, but i was hoping to meet my goal of ~$800: i7-4770k OC @ 4.3GHz Gigabyte GTX 1070 FE OC +120/+180 Ballistix Sport 1600MHz DDR3 RAM 4x8 OC @ 2000MHz Gigabyte Z97-HD3 v2 Blanking on brand of PSU, but 500w Bronze certified Currently planning on keeping drives but may put a 250GB SSD into it to sell with Windows not included Noctua NH-D15 CPU Cooler third-party case, no label on it, average wear USB 2.0 4-port expansion card Will include Razer Deathadder and Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2013 and yes, i plan on shipping it with the stable overclocks unless buyer asks for otherwise And i plan on upgrading to a bit of a costly system that my current estimate puts at around $1600-$1800 depending where i buy: i7-9700k Asus RTX 2080 O8G Dual-Fan OC Edition Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3200MHz C16 RGB Pro 2x16 Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Ultra Gaming Corsair CX Series 550 Watt 80 Plus Bronze Certified Modular PSU Like i said, keeping drives; but adding ADATA SU800 512GB M.2 2280 drive for boot and important data I have my own copy of Windows 7 thats already been upgraded for Win10 upgrade Noctua NH-U12S 120mm CPU cooler Rosewill Gaming ATX Full Tower Thor V2 White/Black ASUS Xonar AE B077DGQFTF for my Razer Tiamat 7.1 V2 headset (NOTE: I dont know much about sound cards, hugely welcome to suggestions on this one!) Will also be buying Razer Deathadder Elite and Razer Ornata Chroma Like i said, we're going to do streaming and probably recording as well for youtube uploads, on top of the regular and VR gaming, and may be doing it for extended periods of time. So the questions i have are; at an estimate, what do you guys think i could sell my old rig for, and do you think this new rig is okay and worth the money, or am i messing up somewhere along the way? Thank you all so much for the advice on this one, its really appreciated!
