  1. https://www.reddit.com/r/LogitechG/comments/7t0m3g/g933_sound_unbalanced_power_button_fixes/ literally just fixed mine tonight using this.
  2. Why yes it is that CPU. I totally feel like an idiot for not checking that. I made sure that it was the same socket, but not if it was compatible.
  3. So I bought a new motherboard because I believe something on my old one broke. It wouldn't detect any graphics cards that would be put in it, but the GPUs worked in other systems. I could only get video output through the integrated graphics. So I went out and bought a MSI MPG Z390 mobo from Best Buy today. I came home and disassembled and reassembled with the new mobo and I got everything plugged in, but then I get stuck in a boot loop or something. The computer will turn on for a couple seconds then back off and then switch back on like 3 or 4 times. Each time, the DRAM LED on the mobo will be lit. Then the computer will turn on and the LED will turn off, but nothing happens and there's no signal or anything. I have tried 2 sets of ram and every single slot. I tried single sticks at a time, switching the sets, and even all 4 sticks at once, but it still has the same boot loop with the DRAM LED. I'm 99% sure the ram works because it worked before. Are all 4 ram slots dead or did I mess something up? Thanks edit: I even reset the CMOS battery on the mobo.
  4. I tried both GPUs on different PCIe slots. Nothing worked or was detected.
  5. Update: that old GPU is also not being detected and not working. Does that mean it's the motherboard then?
  6. I just tried an old GPU and it works just fine. So now I really think my 1050ti is dead.
  7. My computer worked fine earlier today while gaming. Went to boot up an hour ago and it booted in like 480p. Changed to 1440p. Started Rainbow Six Siege and got 1fps in the main menu. Restarted my computer twice and still messed up. Powered off and unplugged and plugged back in. Now I don't get a signal. I even tried the second slot on my mobo. The mobo graphics work, but the GPU isn't even detected. The fans on my GPU spin, but not very fast. Is my GPU fried? My parts are: Mobo- ASRock B250 Pro4 GPU- Asus 1050ti (powered through mobo) CPU- Intel i7 6700 PSU- corsair CX 750M
  8. Hey all, (I'm not entirely sure if this is the right place to post this) Last week, my girlfriend's HP laptop wouldn't boot up and it displayed an error message that said "Boot Device Not Found. Please install an operating system on your hard disk." I took out the hard drive and put in an external housing to test it on my computer. When I would plug it in, it would show up in the file explorer for around 30 seconds, but then it would disappear and I am unable to access any of the files on it. There's not a distinct noise coming from it either, other than the basic low hum of a mechanical drive. So that leaves me to my question in the title... is the hard drive dead? And is there any cheap way to get the data off of it? Thanks for any and all help! :)
