  1. That's reassuring to hear. That was actually my initial thought when buying these. (Why pay for more ram speed than I know I'll be able to reach?) But of course that was before seeing the NewEgg deal on the 3200s. Maybe I'll chalk it up as a win since I still saved 6 bucks haha.
  2. I'm within the return window, but not the distance. I bought these during a trip out of state specifically to get Micro Center's 1600+mobo combo deal.
  3. That's true, but I could also buy the 3200s and overclock those even higher. So I'm still in the same predicament.
  4. I just bought a Ryzen 5 1600 processor and ASRock B450M Pro4 motherboard at Micro Center, and I also bought 16GB of G.Skill TridentZ RGB 3000 mHz RAM on a whim. However, I just saw that NewEgg is now selling the 3200 MHz version now for just $6 more than what I paid. Both have the same timings. I'm trying to talk myself down from selling the 3000 online somehow and buying the 3200 version. My goal was to build a pc that's maximally upgradeable, and I'm kind of kicking myself now for not getting the fastest memory possible to start out with. Conversely, the RAM isn't on the QVL list and may not run stable at 3200 or even 3000 anyway -- so what if it ends up being a wasted effort? My most memory intensive task is likely going to be playing Cities Skylines. (I don't play with mods which gobble up RAM, but I still want it to run smoothly when my cities get huge.) Please advise! Thank you.
