  1. well thank you for your input regardless of the outcome. I'll either fork over the money for a cheap enclosure or save up for a desktop in the future.
  2. Ah, I should've figured it'd something like that... so essentially there isn't anything I could do besides an enclosure?
  3. Okay so I have a Lenovo yoga 730 and i want an external graphics card.... but on the cheap. I first got this idea from the LTT video that I'll leave it posted if you haven't seen it but it gave me an idea, my yoga has a thunderbolt 3 port is it possible to achieve the same result with a thunderbolt 3 to USB 3.0 to the graphics cards pcb board or "the beast"? I apologize if my question is either ignorant or improper but I would love some feedback! also here is a link to the unit I would try to use https://www.banggood.com/USB-3_0-PCI-E-Express-1x-to16x-Extender-Riser-Board-Card-Adapter-SATA-Cable-p-1122000.html?rmmds=detail-left-hotproducts__6&cur_warehouse=USA

  5. @brob Oh, that is so much better. Thank you very much!
  6. Alright I've also revised the I-3 8350k build and it'll be a higher end intel build... I'm not entirely confident on this one so criticism is encouraged. 7. @BigRomThat sounds much better actually I still have more to learn about quality control especially for psu's. if you don't mind I'm gonna cop that build
  8. I think this is a pretty solid improvement... I was going for $600 usd for a lower end gaming rig I started a ryzen 3 1200 3.1ghz with an overclockable board, 3000mhz ram in duel channel(it might suck to upgrade later but it wasn't in the price point I sought after), a better cached ssd, and a better suited card (the zotac gtx 1060 6gb to avoid bottlenecking, and a better power supply by corsair with 80+ bronze. 9. I apologize for not including a price point and more detail... I've definitely learned A LOT from all of you and I'm going to implement these changes and post back my results. Thanks to all of you for your help!
  10. Alright so I haven't built a gaming rig yet but a friend asked me to make one. He hasn't given me a budget yet but I played around with PC part picker and I've made a few configurations and I would greatly appreciate some advice.
