Sir this m2 to sata expansion has JMB582 chip, how to find out about compatibility? I first heard about the compatibility of sata controllers like asmedia or marvel chip on open media vault Linux distribution. Moreover most of these m2 to sata expansion cards use m key or b+m key which supported by the respective mobo. Many thanks Regards

At last is it a safe thing to add couple sata6 ports via a m2 key to sata expansion card for non-raid purpose like the one below if a mobo with single pcie slot is already occupied with a dvbs2 tv tuner card? Thanks a lot sir for quick reply Sorry it was a typo about the evo I meant 980 1tb vs 980 pro 500gb since there re at same price, curious to know the pcie3 vs pcie4 speed difference tbh My buddy recommended me to go for msi z690 tomhawk with better vrm & higher price compare to z690 pro wifi. But does it make any difference for me for intel turbo boost technology upto 5ghz & ram oc. seasonic & corsair rm psu's are better. If it's possible recommend me for 650w or 750w. Is 650w enough for me or need higher? When I calculated psu needs it was around 620w. If it's possible sir recommend me adequate nvidia gpu for the two ultrawides as I mentioned Appreciated Regards

Hi sir Thanks a lot for the advice I meant 1tb 980 evo pice3 (MZ-V8V1T0B/AM) compare to 980 pro 500gb (MZ-V8P500B) there are at same price point so if the speed differential isn't that much will go for the 1tb 980 (MZ-V8V1T0B/AM) definitely The dvbs2x satellite TV tuner needs only one pcie slot. some z690 mobo including the one that I was looking for msi z690 pro wifi ddr5 only have only 1 pcie so want to reserve this pcie for the tv tuner card, instead get a m2 2280 adapter to two sata 6gb ports so I can hook up 7 hdds & 1 DVD writer since this mobo like most z690 has 6 sata 6gb. 12700k supports 20 pcie lanes.
