    1080Ti artifacting

Since im in EU, i fear they will just make me get a refund from local dealer. Sadly that cash will be only enough for 2070. I really hope i could send it to their UK center, and get a 2080 tho

    1080Ti artifacting

I have brand new 1080ti aorus extreme 11g, its now, after two weeks, it started having artifacts, and then crashing. It also shows this in the event viewer. I know RMA is the last resort, but can you please advise what to try before that? I made a clean OS install, then tried 2 year old nvidia drivers, same thing happened, then i updated to newest ones, same thing happened. I tried reseating my gpu, as well as psu and all the cables. No change. Anything else i can do?

The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time. PC freeze with green skulls

Yes, this happened. My PC froze with audio glithing out, and little green skulls all over the screen yesterday. I have never seen anything like this. Since this is quite new windows installation (2 weeks) i just formated everything and did a clean install from usb flash. That was today, now it happened again... screen freezing, sound tearing then restart, with quick windows update. Event viewer shows like 60 actions in one second and many more around it. I am not able to decode those. Also wth hell are those green skulls. Thanks

    Suggestions on improving this build?

Just do yourself a favour and go, without thinking for 970 Evo plus, best performance and price isnt that steep, also if you can afford that 1TB do that, then have you system on it and all games you currently play, rest on some HDD, don't fill ssd more then 70% of capacity.

    First build, need opinions

Most important thing is, what games you play. Seriously. Many people answered without even knowing that. It's not true 6 cores is just fine. AMD chips don't have best single core performance, but advantage is hyperthreading. If you want to play games that utilize HT than go for that ryzen 2700x, 2700 is only little bit cheaper but comparatively worse for the buck. 2600 are alright now, but in a year or two, not so sure. If you are building pc with rtx2070ish mark, don't do the mistake and bottleneck yourself with cpu. Especially if you play at 1080p, which is more CPU depending then 1440p plus. Another thing I don't get, Dark Rock 4 pro? Really? That's a overclocking cooler, one of the best. Wasted money on 2600. Also I would recommend going for x470 mobo. They usually have better vrms. More overclocking support and they are pretty much same price as B450. Anyway if I were you, I would really wait for those Navi cards and 3000 ryzens. At worst it will push prices down. At best, you will get yourself a much better CPU for today's money. If going with 2600.. still go for x470 mobo, gigabyte ultra gaming is decent, also go for much cheaper cooler, pick up some one fan noctua. Or if you don't like how it looks, any fan will do for that CPU, just look up fan comparisons. PSU is any decent 650w seasonic is very good one.

    New HTPC

Im kinda set on that 2400g, I always went for that "it's enough" choice and regretted it later. Also it comes in a bundle with that for like 30% less at my retailer. That's the reason for that mobo. Points taken on that ram. I'll pick up 3200 then, I kinda hoped they could oc pro 3200 anyway, since my HyperX 3200 goes very far with higher voltage

    New HTPC

So, as the title states, im building new htpc, capable of direct playing 4K hdr from windows 10, preferably not crazy consumption, as it will run idle pretty much half a day. So, this is what i have, PSU 500W gold, and thermaltake htpc case the rest: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD - Ryzen 5 2400G 3.6 GHz Quad-Core Processor $139.89 @ OutletPC CPU Cooler Noctua - NH-L12S 55.44 CFM CPU Cooler $49.90 @ Amazon Motherboard Asus - TUF B450M-PLUS GAMING Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard $94.39 @ OutletPC Memory Kingston - FURY 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) DDR4-2666 Memory $54.89 @ OutletPC Storage Crucial - MX500 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive $69.85 @ OutletPC Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total $408.92 Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-05-07 10:45 EDT-0400 Looks OK?

    HyperX fury overclock

After two hours of memtest86, the best config for me is 1.35V 3200Mhz 14 17 17 17 35 timings, benchmarks show that its speed is equal to twice as expesive DRAMs. So i guess Hynix isnt that bad after all.

    HyperX fury overclock

I really dont think they have a way to find out it was manual OC, they didnt even checked if CPU i returned was working or not so... Anyway those are Hynix C die sticks, yeah yeah, samsung b is the best and all, but those were tested with ryzen cpus and they run really fine for me. I might just push it to flat 13s, and see what happens, because 14s were no problem with prime95 and memtest
  13. So, i got the 2x16gb hyperx fury DDR4 3200mhz C18 kit. Its operation speed as indicated on the site is 1.2V, so naturally i pushed it to 1.35V and set the timings at c14. It runs just fine, memtest86 has no problem with it, and it actually helped in some cases because i run ryzen 2700X, and that guy likes faster RAMs. Question is, is it normal to OC a RAM this far with no problems? Ill try pushing the timing even further later on. Also from a longevity standpoint, they have 10 year warranty, so im calm on that front. Anyone else has pushed theirs dram this far? I mean, i have same speeds as my friend with gskill 3200mhz c14 which is twice a price of my hyper x. Thanks

    New build polish

Yep, im going for 32gb on two sticks, and i might need another 32 in the future. Sometimes i do very heavy RAM dependent work on, tens of tabs, excel sheets, pdfs etc on multiple monitors. This is my home gaming/sometimes working pc. At work i am currently using almost all of my 32gigs of ram, albeit at lower speeds. Dont worry about HDD, i got buttloads of those.

    New build polish

Any notes to my new build? Ignore the prices on part picker... i got that gpu already https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4zxfw6 Also ill stick to that wraith prism stock cooler, and maybe upgrade later to some dual fan. Might even upgrade to 3700x and x570 after a year, but im not waiting for that now.
