  1. Aight, well thank you all for your help!
  2. While im at work/school im not allowed to charge my phone, and i dont want to charge it off of my laptop while using my phone's hotspot. Thats why a prepaid sim card with only mobile data in my laptop would be great. Sorry for the confusion In that m.2 module, obviously Heres a picture from one of those shady cheap ones from amazon:
  3. Hey everyone! Im thinking about buying a laptop that i can use for both work/school and gaming. Ive looked through a few reputable brands and settled on the Legion 5pi by lenovo. The only problem i have with it is that it doesnt support SIM cards; it only has a WiFi 6 2x2 M.2 module. I was looking at some WiFi/SIM card M.2 modules on amazon but they all look shoddy (very cheap: about 17-18 USD, or state AT&T in the title which we dont have here in germany) which is where i introduce my first question to yall: Are there any WiFi/Broadband M.2 modules from reputable brands, is that a thing that exists? I wouldnt mind giving up WiFi 6 or 5GHz support for 4G/LTE and 3G support. And now to my second question: If these modules theoratically worked fine with german sim cards, could i just use one of the two wifi antennas see image for the sim card part? Heres a closer look at the Legion 5Pi's WiFi module, Lenovo simply describes it as "Wireless-AX (Wi-Fi 6) (2x2) WLAN, Bluetooth 5.0 or higher" : Image credits: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-upgrade-or-add-ssd-lenovos-legion-5i-15 Thanks in advance for any replies! P.S.: If there are better choices for laptops that would better suit my use case and are under 1100€ (1300 USD) LMK. I dont know that much about laptops in general and maybe you see a flaw with the legion 5pi i didnt notice.
  4. I've done some testing and there are no dead sectors or anything yet, I guess It's normal and I'll just have to live with it. Thats probably because I dont have my side panels on, but its good to hear that other people have this 'Issue' too.
  5. Hey everybody! I've recently bought a Toshiba N300 Drive (that is the NAS version of the 300 series) and when i access it, it makes horrible grinding noises. I've seen some threads about drives from the 300 series making grinding noise but none of them describe it as that bad .... that thing sounds like someone is drilling a hole in concrete.(Okay that may be a bit exaggerated) HDDScan 4.0 and CrystalDiskInfo do not show any errors but im still worried. Just listen to the file I attached. Now my question is: Do any of you have the same or similar drives? and Do yours sound as bad as mine? Thanks. SoundRecord-2019-04-20-13-54-30.wav
