  1. well the facts have shown that the NF-A12 is not "just a fan", but my main goal is that i thinking about redoing my current setup's cooling, ergo this question. So because of radiator designs, there might be a radiator design that the NF-A12 PWM would be better for than others. Also i did state that this might be a silly question, but i am curious none the less.
  2. Good day all. So this may be a silly question and i am not entirely sure where to post it, so it seem logical that i do it here. But does anyone know what AIO is the best for the new Noctua fans(NF-A12 PWM) as in which AIO would benefit the most from having those fans on? Best regards Reddice.
  3. Yeah you are probably right about not being able to hit those FPS's so in fact G-sync is "needed" then for a better and more smooth experience.
  4. Some say that G-sync makes too much of difference that it is worth investing in
  5. So question for those who have a 1440p UW monitor 100hz and above and a 1080ti, is there any need for G-sync or Freesync at all isn't the 1080ti well capable for ultra settings without stuttering or tearing.
  6. yeah would be fun to see if that would result in lower temps
  7. Hey all. I am wondering about the new Ryzen's does anyone know if we will be able to disable the HT on them for better overclocking, i am only asking since they seem to be so cheap that one could buy the upper tier 6 core and disable the HT for a kick ass overclocking(pardon my french) Thanks in advance.
  8. K is the only way(see what i did there). I already have a 240M from coolermaster(might swap it out since it is getting old) which has served me very well, and in conclusion i think i will just go with the skylake unless the kaby is out by the time i get everything together. Thanks all for the replies
  9. Hmm i should have worded my question better so let's try this again. My son has a crappy computer and he would get my existing one. So my computer is composed of i5 4670k, max 5 formula, 8 GB drr3 kingston hyper x, AX 860w plat and dual asus gtx 780 3BG DCU2 OC. So main reason for upgrading is not that my pc isn't capable but more that my sons pc is very much crap and needs an upgrade. Ergo i am going to buy all new internals for me so he can get my old one. And thus is the wait for kaby lake i7 worth it in terms of raw power performance or should i endure even longer wait and see how it turns out with Zen even?? or just f*** it and go for skylake
  10. Hey guy's. So my question is this, i have a i5 4670k in a maximus formula 5 and i am hoping to upgrade to a maximus hero z170. But since kaby lake is a 1151 socket as well as skylake i am wondering if it would be worth it to wait for kaby lake or if i should go for a skylake. I have heard that kaby lake is barely an upgrade from skylake in terms of raw power were power cunsomption is no issue. Thanks in advance.

    My new rig

So a little update, finally got finished with my 24pin, 2 of my Sata, Audio and the usb header. It is coming along nicely in my opinion with a big thanks to http://www.icemodz.com/ for providing me with the pins, sleeving and plug's ect. also the 10/18 pins for the MB are a little chaotic since they arn't extensions i made a new 24 pin plug, but in all honesty i actually like the look of that just wish i could sleeve the USB 3 header. Now i am just deciding when to finish up the 8/4 CPU pins, PCI-E and the sata power cables(it toke some work since it is my first try ) @ Jimstah87 there more photos

    My new rig

The reason for a huge case is just because i have space for it and i like to have a lot room to when i work in it. I would water cool it if i didn't live in Iceland, it is insanely expensive to get the parts over here and no retailer here has the things needed. Basically the only water cooling solution available here in Iceland are the all in one one's.

    My new rig

Sorry let me rephrase that: it's the led strip at the top of case + daylight that makes it look red/orange but is a red strip and looks alot better with the sidepanel on
