    Hey everyone, I am new to the forums today after I just finished my first build. Decided to try something different for the pc so I chose the Gamer Storm Quadstellar. Overall was a little tricky to build in but was not a horrible experience. The case is very well manufactured and I have no complaints with quality. The biggest issues are cable management since the quadrants do run tight to the back of the mobo and fitting a 360mm radiator. Here are the components used in the build: Gamerstorm Quadstellar case (case does not breathe well so I leave glass panels off during gaming) 9 Thermaltake riing plus fans Gigabyte Z390 Aorus master mobo Corsair rgb vengeance 3000hz ram 32gb total i9 9900k Gigabyte rtx2080ti waterforce extreme wb Thermaltake d5 pump Thermaltake c360 radiator and xspc 240mm thin radiator Thermaltake pacific cpu water block Intel 660P m.2 2280 1TB SSD WD 500GB HD (Left over part from old computer that had windows) ThermalTake Toughpower iRGB 1050 Watt Modular PSU Mayhems Clear UV Blue Coolant Nanoxia UV LED Strips Thermaltake Pacific fittings 2 Thermaltake TT Sync Controllers Ran into a couple other snags along the way. Normally was going to run the thermaltake CL360 Radiator but it just would not fit. Swapped out for just the C360. Also first GPU the LED lights would not work so had to send back for a replacement. During this time I also changed the water tubing going to the GPU. Hope you enjoy the build! If you have any suggestions please let me know. I am a complete novice in all of this so advice is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you! I really appreciate it. The overclock at 4.9 was a junk oc by the way (too much voltage) so probably not the best to give any credit to the 91c temp. What should be the max temp to not go over on a overclock. intel support said as long as its under 100 im fine and wont hurt the life... Don't know how comfortable I am with that though lol.

    Thank you very much for your post. This is good news to hear. I see you are also running the i9 9900k. If you don't mind me asking, what temps are you seeing from cinebench r20 on stock clocks? or on a 4.9ghz clock. Mine hit 91c on 4.9. Thank you very much.

    I have tightened the cooler with a screw driver already till its snug. The pump is spinning at 4800RPM and fans are running at 1400rpm under load

    Never have done anything like that and honestly makes me a little nervous to try lol. Would I be best with trying to obtain a replacement cpu from intel? Could it be just manufactured poorly?

    yes the case has horrible air flow.... So i keep the glass off during gaming to reduce the heat buildup.

    Thank you all so much for your help. I keep scratching my head and digging into every article I can find about i9 temps. Also all fan curves are set to 100% once the temps break 55 degrees and up to 75% at 45 degrees

    I re-applied the thermal paste and only applied the pea method. When I pulled the block off the first time the distribution of the paste looked very well. I also checked for clogs and flushed the loop when I pulled the block off. The flow is very strong through the whole system and am not getting any high temps from the gpu that is cooled on the same loop. I can check the paste a 3rd time and re-flush the loop but everything was correct last time I did this for the same problems I am experiencing. It did not help any.

    Hi guys, I am new here and this is my first post so please pardon if I did not do this correctly. I have just built my first pc and am a little worried about the temps. I talked with intel support and they don't feel there is a whole lot to worry about but it just doesn't seem right. My build is the following: Gamerstorm Quadstellar case (case does not breathe well so I leave glass panels off during gaming) 9 thermaltake ring plus fans aorus z390 master mobo ( bios flashed to most recent to support 9th gen.) corsair rgb vengeance 3000hz ram 32gb total (cpu clocked at 3000hz memory as well) i9 9900k ( stock speeds and voltage except memory clock) gigabyte rtx2080ti waterforce extreme wb thermaltake d5 pump set to max flow thermaltake c360 radiator and xspc 240mm thin radiator thermaltake pacific cpu water block The issue is that at idle my temps are fine (30 degrees) but as soon as I play battlefield v for any amount of time (hour or so) my temps seem to have a couple really brief spikes to 79 degrees or so. If i run cinebench r20 i will get temp spikes up to 84. and when I ran prime95 I got an instant temp of 95 (small fft). I have pulled the waterblock off and re-applied thermal paste to make sure this was not the issue (NT-H1) and also checked that the backplate was correctly attached. The gpu stays very cool and never gets over 60 degrees. These are on the same loop. With no OC and just a memory clock I am very surprised at how hot this setup is reaching. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I know this CPU runs hot but don't feel this should be this hot. Thank you for all your help!
