  1. So I was thinking of getting soldering things to do it myself once I saw how small the piece and that I have it apart. The laptop is an inspiron 7000 2 in 1 so you probably saw the correct piece. What would I need to do this myself?
  2. I hope not because I don't know what that means lol.
  3. Ok. I have started to try and remove it, lol. I'm used to desktop towers so compact ones, I'm having to learn lol.
  4. I havnt worked on laptops much so if I need to take the motherboard out, I can. But here's what I have to far.
  5. So I bought my wife a laptop almost 2 years ago and a few months back, it stopped charging. I've tested the cord and it works on my phone. It's a usb-c cord. I can't seem to find the parts or a replacement part. Either I suck at searching for it or it's just hard to find. So I'm looking for help here! It's a- Dell Inspiron 14 7000 Laptop Reg Model: P147G Reg Type No: P147G001 ST: CRW1NG3 I know USB-C charging ports have problems but I'm trying to not have to pay several hundred dollars in repair fees if I can replace it myself.
  6. @PixelfieOk so there's honestly not much of upgrades the CPU can handle, is what you're saying? My monitor reso is 1440 but some games I play at 1080. I was thinking I would need to upgrade my CPU before I large GPU upgrade. So if that's what you were getting at, then I'll have to save up a bit longer. And yes, I favor NVidia stuff for sure. This was a budget build that was made too quickly and should have had a lot more research done about parts and such, lol.
  7. It works pretty well but not as much as I'd like. So It's not a necessary upgrade I just want to see where I can go with it, from people with more experience than I do. Not really a budget because, like I just mentioned, I'm just trying to see where I can go with it. @Mayday793Thank you for informing me about the lettering. I had just seen somewhere that the F was not good. Still trying to do research and learn more detailed stuff about all this, lol.
  8. So I recently built my PC and am looking to upgrade my GPU now that prices have dropped. My parts are: Mother Board - ASRock H670M PRO RS CPU - Intel Core i3-12100F GPU - Radeon RX 6500 XT 4GB I know the CPU was probably a mistake since there's an F at the end. Didn't pay close enough attention (Had a TON of stuff going on at the time). But I'm trying to find what kind of GPU upgrade the board and processor could handle.
  9. Yes, it was fully shut down. I can't do anything with it because it only gets to the desktop screen for aboit 2 seconds before it restarts again.
  10. So I unplugged my computer to move my desk and now it is stuck in a loop. It will start up normal but right when it gets to the desk top screen, I see a small notification up it installing or updating driver in the bottom right then a second later it is restarting. This is windows 7, btw. Any got some tips on how to fix? We have a new born so havnt had much time to look through Google myself and you guys have always been really helpful.
  11. Hey all! I'm looking for a server to play on as playing alone gets old and boring to me. I'm just a casual player and only play maybe 2 to 3 times a week. I'm also in central time US. Anyone know of a server? Lol
  12. It was a little but I could not find a paperclip, of all things lol. Had some spare wire and just pulled the ends off lol. It's the Ultra LSP750 750 watt. Way more than what I needed I believe. And it's almost 7 years old. I'll have to check my parts through partschecker website again but I believe I only needed like 500 if that to run it. Sad part is I spent almost $1400 when I first built it (high end MB and Processor and apparently psu to upgrade the rest later) and just found a pre-built on Amazon for 650 that out does it with Windows 10 instead of 7. Ugh.
