Hi, I recently got a 7700k and successfully installed it in my Asus Z170-A motherboard. Windows successfully booted and seems to have installed an older driver as part of the automatic driver installation BS by Windows 10. The driver number is 4532. The official driver for the Intel HD 630 is 4542, and when I try to install it, the installer quits and says that my computer does not meet the minimum requirements. My specs are: i7 7700k 16GB ram GTX 1080(Yes, I know, but I want to use Intel QuickSync for GPU encoding) Windows 10 Any help or advice is appreciated!

Hi All, I have a friend who is a Dark Souls fanatic, and wants to play Dark Souls 3 on PC, after finally ascending from Dark Souls 1 and 2 on the Xbox 360. He said he is willing to spend around $350 on a GPU, and I have come to the conclusion that it puts him either in the running for a GTX 970 or R9 390. Since Dark Souls 3 is a DX11 game presumably, the GTX 970 would be better, but thinking about the future and DX12, wouldn't the R9 390 be better? Just looking for some opinions here.

Hi, I recently upgraded from a 4770k at stock clocks, to a 6700k. The reason I never OC'd the 4770k was that the temps would jump immediately to 70c+, but we all know the 4770k wasn't that good of a OC chip anyways. Well, I upgraded to a Z170 Pro motherboard and i7 6700k today, and installed the H100i(Which I've had for two years). Temps are fine at idle, around 25c, which is actually 5c lower than with the 4770k. Since the Skylake chips OC well, I thought I'd give it a go, and went to 4.6Ghz. What I noticed was that immediately when starting a stress test, the temps would jump from 25c to the areas of 70c+, sometimes in 80's and even 90's! I am a bit surprised as I have seen people with the same and even higher OC's, with the H100i and the temps stay at or below 70c. Now, am I correct in assuming that my H100i might be defective? The motherboard is reporting the pump is working at 2200RPM, using the detected CPU_PUMP header, which the ASUS Z170 Pro board has, and the fans are also spinning, according to Corsair link. Could it be clogged or otherwise damaged? Is there a way to check?

To everyone shitposting about razer quality without owning one
LtRoyalShrimp replied to ccaian's topic in Off Topic
Shitpost with bait title. 10/10 Been using a Naga 2014 edition since well, 2014, so a year, no issues, and a Razer deathstalker for longer, again, no issues. My brother has been using a 2012 Razer Naga since 2012, and no issues. That's 3 years. I honestly think most of these so called Razer issues are user error, I mean, look at what OP's mouse looks like. That can't be healthy. -
Nvidia just posted this on Twitter: This is TITAN X

Remember folks, only 11.5GB Vram will be usable. /s -
Just got my 980, took some 4k DSR pictures at 1080p. OMG!

um, have you heard about the slow 512MB of ram on the 970? If SC is using some of it, that may cause issues. -

To be honest, by the time the PU is playable, we will have the 1080 or whatever the next gen is called. Don't put all your eggs in one basket with the 980. -

970 ain't bad, but Star Citizen was using 3.6GB Vram at 1080p, so....yea. -
Hi guys, Just got my G1 Gaming GTX 980. Question: What are the recommended starting overclock limits? First time working with Nvidia so any tips? Thanks.
