  1. Like purely money wise you get a bigger discount with the edge, but is the edge better than the S7? Also the pixel would not be easier to finance since it won't be through t mobile... S7 or edge...
  2. Dude this is insane. I just checked the t mobile sub reddit and saw someone post about a promo when the post was 23 minutes old. I just called tmobile and they didn't even get the meeting yet. You can get an S7 S7E or V20 for 360.... I might just an S7 because of that deal. 15 a month.
  3. T mobile currently offers a promo for the pixel. You will get a $325 credit to your statement over 2 years if you bring a Google pixel over. This is great and makes the pixel half off. My other choice is the one plus 3t which is around 479. I don't want to spend too much at once so I'll be financing them if possible. If you are in my situation which would you choose? I currently have a galaxy s5 and will be giving my mom my phone. She has an S3
  4. I was actually looking at the 4gb version in the future. Since I play older games the 8gb isn't needed for me. The 4gb would drop the price and that's why it seems more compelling to compare. I agree I've only heard good things about the gaming x. I just don't hope I bought it too early and missed out on a better deal
  5. Yeah I would be sacrificing graphics for performance. I often play games on low or very low because of the 144Hz. Almost every review I've read/seen say the GTX 1060 leads by like by 5% all the way to like 12% across "all benchmarks". However, some people cited "Look back at the GTX780Ti vs R9 290X [http://www.babeltechreviews.com/nvidia-forgotten-kepler-gtx-780-ti-vs-290x-revisited/] and are now saying the R9 390 is already catching up or beating the GTX 970 right now. I think you're right about the Gaming X vs the SSC. I love both coolers I think I just wanted EVGA's "legendary" support that I hear about.
  6. I am wondering what my best option is here and I need your help. I am currently looking at the RX 480 and the GTX 1060. Specifically the MSI Gaming X RX 480 4GB version since the 4GB vs 8GB speed difference is like 1-2% and since I only really play older games I don't think I'll need the 8GB. I am also waiting for EVGA's ACX3.0 SSC GTX 1060 because I might get that instead of the SC version with a single fan. I am guessing the Gaming X RX 480 will be $229.99 since the 8GB version is about $30 above the $239.99 MSRP. I am guessing the GTX 1060 I am waiting for will be about $269.99 since it is $10 above the SC on the GTX 1070. I am not sure what my best option is here, but I will try to explain my situation in the best way. Here are my specs to start: Windows 8.1 I5 4690K @ 4.2GHz MSI R9 280X Twin Frozr IV 8GB RAM 650W PSU 240GB SSD 1TB HDD 1080p 144Hz Monitor My main game is CS:GO which won't be a problem to run since it's CPU intensive. I do play newer games when they come out, but don't really go back to them. (Doom, Rise of the Tomb Raider, etc) I will sacrifice graphics quality for frame rate because of my 144Hz monitor I will be getting a Freesync monitor in the future, but not in the near future. Probably >3 Years later Assuming the prices I guessed will be correct, I would prefer not to spend over $290. I would want the RX470, but it seems like a slight upgrade compared to if I bought the RX480/GTX1060 I will be OCing/Under Volting the card once I get it. The other problem is I just bought an MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X 6GB from Jet.com for $259.40 because I thought it was an amazing deal, however I'm starting to get buyers remorse since I should've waited and seen my other two options(The MSI RX 480 4GB, and the EVGA GTX 1060 ACX3.0). I think I got it at a good price since on Newegg the card is selling for $289.99 for the Gaming X version. I also only paid $10 over the GTX 1060s MSRP so I thought it was pretty nice. However, I am hearing the GTX770 vs R9 290 and now GTX970 vs R9 390 and how AMD catches up in performance over time. I am probably going to keep this card for a solid 2 years, maybe even longer at 3 or 4. I can return this card for a full refund luckily. I tried looking at many benchmark videos comparing the two on Youtube from HardwareUnboxed, LinusTechTips, DigitalFoundry, Paul, JayZ, etc. I also tried to read as many reviews like on TechPowerUp, Guuru3D, Overclockers, etc. In my situation which would you guys choose? Also is waiting for the two cards a good idea or not? I guess I am in no rush to upgrade since the 280X is fine. Plus Jet.com does do deals like that where the price can fall below quite a bit. Or even Newegg like their last VISA checkout deal. Please help a lost brother out. I am truly confused on which card to get...
  7. I have a feeling this is a hardware problem, but I am not sure so I came here. I tried Googling a lot of key words to my problem, but I can't seem to find a solution online so I came here to try my best to explain it. PC Specs * Windows 8.1 * Intel i5-4690K @ 3.5 GHz * 8 GB RAM * MSI R9 280X * Silicon Power 240GB SSD * WD 1 TB HD * 650W Rosewill Hive PSU * Monoprice 24" Gaming 144Hz Monitor (main) * AoC 21.5" IPS Monitor (2nd) The problem occurs MOST often after I finish a pug in ESEA. The game ends and then our scoreboard pops up in an htmlmod window showing everyone's RWS/K/D/A etc... Then I open console and type "quit". Sometimes it will go through and nothing will happen and I will carry on. However, most of the time it just freezes there and I wait about 20 seconds and nothing happens. I can move my mouse to my 2nd monitor no problem and click things on that monitor, but I cannot ALT + TAB, CTR + ALT + DEL, ALT + F4, CTR + SHIFT + ESC. I also cannot watch Youtube videos on my 2nd screen while this is happening making me think this is a GPU problem. The main monitor looks like its just a still image where my mouse can roam freely but nothing happens when I click everywhere. If I click the Start button on the 2nd monitor nothing happens on either monitor. Task manager doesn't show up. The only way around this is if I restart my PC and I dislike doing that often because it can damage my parts The GPU was bought on Amazon refurbished 13 months ago so it has held fine. I'm not sure if the OC I put on it hurt it too much but it was stable. (Stock[1020,1500] -> OC[1150/1600] I was thinking it could be a RAM problem, but iirc memtest showed nothing wrong. Anyone else getting the same problem? If all else fails I was thinking of wiping everything and re-installing Windows again to start fresh.
  8. Okay so I tried my other PC first and it worked just like my short solution but because my Dad needed to use the PC I couldn't test the time part. I enabled my iGPU in my BIOS and ONLY connected the problem[Main] monitor for now and will just keep using it like this until the problem persists. Unfortunately since its my iGPU its capped at 64 Hz so I cant keep it like this(If the problem never occurs). Lets say if the static appears even through my iGPU we can assume its the monitor's problem right? IF the static doesn't accur then we can assume its a problem with my GPU correct? Sorry I am just super worried
  9. Gotcha. First I am going to try my first PC[it has an old ATI 200X card with a dual dvi...] So I am going to try that first. Thank you
  10. Luckily my motherboard has an HDMI and DVI out so I could try it. Unfortunately nothing comes up on the screens.
  11. Here is the first thread I posted about the same problem. Fast forward to today and I am still getting this problem It happened again all of a sudden while I was just browsing around so I just bought a NEW DVI cable to see if that would solve it. For a few weeks it did, but today it has happened 3 times in the span of several hours and is annoying me. I have taken 4 pictures of the screens when the problem is happening http://imgur.com/a/37f1D I tried flipping which side of the DVI cable goes into my GPU as well Should I try to return it and get a replacement? Will they think this was my fault? It happened a month or two into me using the monitor so would I even be able to?'' Current short solutions: I replug in every cable that goes into both monitors while the PC is shut off with the PSU switched off. Once I turn it on it is fine for half an hour before it repeats that static like screen...
  12. Yeah I was praying it wasn't the monitor itself since it has been working fine for a whole week of probably 50 hours of use in that time and my GPU that hasn't shown any error since I overclocked in(lol). Glad I don't have to deal with shipping because of you <3
  13. Unplugging the DVI cable and putting it back in more securely helped. If this problem comes about again I will buy a new cable and try Thank you so much. To be honest I could've figured this out myself if I had some time before work but at the same time this was a first and I was scared.
  14. I think you mightve helped me find the problem. Unfortunatley I am about to leave for work but I unplugged my DVI cable from my main 144hz monitor and then I heard the windows sound that signals a connection and my 2nd monitor just "crashed" or showed the same rainbow gradient on my main one. So now it boils down to the cables themselves or hopefully NOT my GPU correct?
