  1. Anyone have links to boards & chips. Would like to have a go at a server with this
  2. I fast forward 10 seconds when that happens and always sorts it
  3. No, even with the settings quite low I'm struggling to hit 30fps. Other issues perhaps?
  4. So fresh install later, the issues fixed. Kind of. The machines working as it should but I shouldn't have listened to the sales guy cos the 570 isn't really enough to play bioshock infinite, a vega 64 or VII is apparently what I should have got. Hey ho lol Thanks got the advice guys, windoze at its finest all over again
  5. When I go through the install process I can play bioshock infinite no worries. After it gets reset by Windows I can't as the 2200g won't run it. Doesn't matter where I have the HDMI plugged windows resets things.
  6. Just finished going through it again. After shutting down with DDU I can install the drivers from the disc and have the 570 working, as soon as it gets an Internet connection windows reactivated the on board graphics and although I'm getting video out of the 570 it isn't taking any computational loads
  7. Oh, and that if I use DDU with the pc offline I can install and the drivers working, everything seems fine but as soon as it has Internet windoze pokes it's face in and resets everything, including updating to the latest drivers which gimme issues with both GPUs in the system
  8. Forgot to mention I'd done that, I've also changed the display option in bios to pcie from igpu Thanks for the speedy response @star_pilot475
  9. Hi folks. I'm trying to install this 570 and for the life of me cannot stop windows reinstalling and using the on board gpu. How do I properly install a graphics card with this cpu? I can't get windows into safe mode, only options are to repair files etc, no reboot menu. I have the HDMI cable plugged into the 570 and get an ouptut from it but its not taking any computational load Any help much appreciated
  10. Thanks again. Quick question though, what prompted the change from the 2070 to the Radeon? Just wondering if it's a performance or budget thing
  11. I was going to let the kids decide, it's the parts they'll see most but likely around the 350 mark. I'm leaving a little flexabilty for them to personalise things
  12. Glad to hear the mods are cool here then and I knew no matter how I tried I'd mess it up ? Thanks for the links from you both, they're certainly helping. Since the mods are cool I'm probably just aswell giving budget without case and cooling then. They'll still remain separate. I need atleast 4tb storage for my eldest so I can get my portable hdd back lol, maybe a 1tb ssd too, ill need recommendations on sizes I guess. So then, system budget minus cooling and case is £1300 each
  13. Thankyou. Top tier isn't my aim, my budgets proof of that ? Ive a separate budget for everything else, I was going to post in the relevant sections after sorting the core components. Being new I didn't want to be breaking rules. Yeah, missing the other components is fine. I'm trying to read up and watch reviews on components to make a better informed decision from the suggestions people make.
  14. Thanks guys and thanks for explaining the acronym @LukeSavenije The case etc are not included in the 900 budget, only the motherboard, gpu, cpu and some ram. Ive edited my opening post to hopefully clear that up a bit.
