  1. Look at Hikvision. The cameras are better than Ubiquiti, local storage and app, all free with no subscription. This is why most businesses etc use them.
  2. Hi all Deciding between LG Tone Free FN6 and Samsung Galaxy buds Live. Can effectively have either for the same price. Any thoughts?
  3. Ah OK. To be honest at the moment all I use is a 1080p monitor, keyboard, mouse and USB C charger through the XPS USB C plug and nothing that uses thunderbolt
  4. OK thanks. What is build quality, feature set etc like against the XPS? Obviously I am used to the 13 which has excellent build quality etc so what is the Envy like? Also upgradeability in regards to RAM and SSD? Do they have USB C (thunderbolt) so I can use a dock and charge through USB C?

  6. Hi all I am looking for a 2in1 13 inch laptop. I am upgrading from an older XPS 13 9350 with i5 6200U, 8GB RAM etc. I presume the best options are Spectre x360 or the older XPS 2in1. Are there any other options? Thanks
  7. Hi chaps Me with more bad news So I sourced a genuine DJ64X and had it fitted at local laptop repair shop All fitted fine, however the trackpad is now basically unusable. It does not 'click' correctly like it did before, and the left and right click buttons don't work. The movement of the mouse works fine, as well as the "tap to click" but the click is wrong. Is this something that could be caused by it being fitted incorrectly or is it likely the trackpad is bust? Thanks
  8. Hello all... I was informed by an ebay seller that the PCCX7 (9360 palm rest) is also compatible with the 9350 (DJ64X palm rest). This seems to be the case with some of the other ebay sellers listing both PCCX7 and DJ64X as compatible e.g. -https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dell-XPS...569976&hash=item2adf6c6b97:g:WPEAAOSwp5leJeHY Is anyone able to clarify further?
  9. Now I need to find a UK spec palmrest with no fingerprint sensor for reasonable price :/
  10. OK I have had a quote from the local laptop repair shop - £35 to fit the new palmrest which is reasonable. Rather have them do it than do it myself
  11. Do you think it will only be this at fault or it could be something else that is causing the power button to be out of position? I notice there is still a gap between the aluminium lid and the palmrest with the one side screw fully tightened up
  12. I can get the part for maybe £50 here in the UK. I'll take it to a laptop repair shop and see how much they'll charge me to get it fixed
  13. Hi all Crap day for me. Dropped my XPS 13 9350 whilst it was balancing on something onto a carpet floor. The lid was open and it was on. The power button does not rest in the correct place anymore and the laptop switches on/off when I open close the lid as the power button gets pushed It appears one of the Torx T5 mounting posts has broken off This post is on the opposite side to the power button Does anyone have any good ideas on next steps? Shoudl I take this to a shop to be repaired? I understand this post is part of the palmrest Thanks
  14. So I have changed my "power plan" to "balanced" and reset it to default settings. this seems to have semi-cured the problem as the CPU usage is back to normal levels, however it still doesn't match Dragon Center/Ryzen Master/Argus Monitor. WTF?
