  1. yeah I guess so, well, I'll just use the replacement they give me when it arrives, but when it poops out on me again, i'll just throw it away and just buy an air cooler like the Noctua brand or the Dark Rock Pro TR4
  2. So from what i'm getting from this forum is: (if you get the second generation liqtech tr4) - Change the coolant with one that has anti corrosion and change the radiator with a copper radiator. Does anyone have any updates about the second generation models? has it been working well? or the issues still plagues the cooler?
  3. Well they didn't do a great job of that in the first generation models of enermax liqtech tr4 models. My cooler only lasted for 6 months...it's unfortunate because it's an amazing liquid cooler when it works properly, i can overclock with no problems at all. i'm just really hoping the second generation models doesn't have this issue cuz I don't want to get delayed with my work ?
  4. thanks for the reply! and it's a copper coldplate, here's a dismantle video of this product from gamer nexus if you're curious to see. (skip to 5:40), but yeah i'm aware that aio coolers aren't supposed to opened, but if it's plausible, I might take the risk.
  5. Hey guys, i'm brand new to this forum and I need some advice for my liquid AIO cooler. So I have a Ryzen Threadripper 1950X cpu and I bought the enermax liqtech TR4 360 (the first generation). Of course, with anyone owning this cooler, it's infamous for it's issue with corrosion, leaks, etc. So I sent it out back to enermax for a replacement. They sending me the Enermax Liqtech TR4 II 360 (second gen), and supposedly they fixed the issues that plagued the first gen models. Personally, I'm still very skeptical, but since im getting it for free from my warranty, I won't complain too much. BUT, I do know that this AIO cooler uses cooper plate and aluminum radiator, and that metal combination is a recipe for disaster for corrosion. So i'm thinking of buying a copper radiator from amazon and replace the aluminum radiator that comes with the cooler, just so that the cooler has the same metal combination. Is this wise to alter the product? honestly, i don't care if I void warranty. Any suggestion of what copper radiator I should buy? I'm not very familiar with liquid cooling modification, so I don't know how to change the coolant inside the cooler system, or I don't know what kind of coolant liquid I should get. Also, making a custom liquid cooler is too much for me to handle (plus i need to get a cooler asap so I can start working again) Hopefully you guys can help me and thank you very much.
