  1. So right now I'm playing with overclocking a bit for the first time actually, I've done some research into it and know the basics I guess. I set my i7-4790k to 4.4 GHz while leaving all the voltage settings to "Auto" in the BIOS and everything booted up perfectly fine without any problems. Tbh I didn't want to mess with any voltage settings yet, because the Core Voltage setting both in BIOS and in CPU-Z (after I booted up) showed the same number which is 0.344 V, and that confuses me a lot. Shouldn't the Core Voltage be anything around 1.2-1.3 V? I really have no idea why is this number so low, it drives me crazy and I can't find anything similar online about it. Any help appreciated, thanks in advance although it might be a stupid question! ? Screenshot attached below
  2. Planning to do a fresh Win 10 UEFI install soon on my new SSD so I've got a question: - When creating a USB bootable drive, do i format the drive using NTFS or FAT32 file system? Does NTFS work with GPT partition schemes and UEFI booting or do I have to use FAT32? Thanks for the help in advance! ?
  3. My setup: CPU: i7-4790k CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming 7 RAM: HyperX Savage 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) 1866 MHz CL9 DDR3 GPU: MSI RTX 2070 GAMING Z 8GB HDD: WD Black 1TB SSD: Samsung 860 EVO 250 GB MONITOR: Samsung 1080p 24" 60Hz ___________________________________ How much Watt PSU would I need for this system, and do you guys have any Budget / Mid-Range recommendations?
  4. My setup: CPU: i7-4790k CPU Cooler: Stock one atm but upgrade to something better for sure. Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming 7 RAM: 2x Kingston DDR3 4GB 1866MHz HyperX Fury (Upgrade to: 2x8GB) GPU: GTX 970 (Upgrade to: RTX 2070) HDD: WD Black 1TB SSD: Don't have any atm, but planning to get one. PSU: OCZ - ModXStream Pro 600 W 80+ (Upgrade if needed?) MONITOR: Samsung 1080p 24" Here's my current setup with the planned upgrades i'm going to do. If anyone could help out and give me their thoughts I'd highly appreacite that. I'm planning to use the PC for gaming mostly, might as well do some light photo / video editing on it, but nothing hardcore for sure. So basically i've got a few questions / concerns: 1.) Will the i7-4790k be a bottleneck for the new RTX 2070 i'm planning to buy? 2.) Do i need a new PSU to run the new system? If yes, please throw me some Mid-Budget recommendations. ?? 3.) Any recommendations for the new SSD,and pair sticks of RAM would be appreciated as well. ? 4.) What are the best Mid-Budget Air and Water coolers out there right now? Not sure which one i'll go for (Air / Water), will decide after i see some recommendations. 5.) Is this a decent build which leaves space for further upgrades? Let's say I decide to upgrade to a new Motherboard + CPU + DDR4 RAM in near future, will i be able to do so while keeping the other parts? Thanks in advance to anyone commenting and helping out! ?
