  1. They charged me only 4 pounds for import duties. My point is that LTT is charging me 20% tax and parcelforce is charging me 20% tax as well.
  2. Looks like the same thing happened to me just now. After finally receiving the backpack to the UK on which I paid 20% on checkout I now have to pay another £66 to parcelforce Currently waiting for support to reply but I am assuming they have to refund the 20% charged, Subtotal $322.96 USD Shipping (14 - 28 Day Delivery) $79.98 USD Tax (Standard Rate 20.0%) $80.60 USD Total $483.54 USD
  3. It was dead long before they ended it
  4. That's typical for graphics card failure. If you want to go deep into it you can download mats and test the ram. It looks like either one of the RAM chips on the board is failing or the RAM controller which is part of the GPU. You can also try to underclock the core and the ram to 80% and see if it is more stable.
  5. Hello Everyone, I am looking at Nebula Cosmos Max 4k dlp projector, currently at the price of £1099.99 It will be used in my bedroom mainly for movies. The question is, for that price, is there a better option or just similar alternatives? The seconds question is, is it better to go for the NEBULA Cosmos Laser 1080p at current price of £1499? If so why? Thanks
  6. Excluding the obvious reasons, even if you reinstall the latest version of windows on an older laptop it will feel slower, the main reason for that is that software becomes more demanding with every new update as the hardware gets better and better. Part of it might also include updates that purposely slow down older hardware.
  7. Thanks for the opinion, i'd rather take some suggestions. The person is working just fine for the past 5 years on a Dell inspiron with i7. They are complaining that it's getting slower and slower over the years so they are looking at an upgrade that is worth the money. I guess it's not that important to have color accuracy as they do a lot of work on autocad as well that i didn't mention originally.
  8. Bad sectors are not repairable. Bad sectors are excluded by the drive itself from usage. Usually once you have a bad sector better throw away the drive if you care about your data. If you have pending sectors, which are bad sectors that the drive can't exclude from usage for one reason or another your computer will freeze every time it's trying to write or read data from that sector. You can keep on using drives with reallocated sectors, i've seen people reaching 30-40k reallocated sectors somehow without the drive completely dying. But when they bring it to me once it gives up and I tell them it's "faulty" they just keep on saying "but it was working".. it will work until it die completely. Hope that helps.
  9. Hi there, I need advice for a laptop that will be used for stuff like Photoshop, indesign, resove, lightroom etc.. Range 1000 - 2000 (EU/GPB) Advice on both new or used machines (new better?) The SSD will likely be upgraded after the purchase as that is usually cheaper. Dell XPS 15 looks like it comes with a relatively slow CPU compared to even base model Razer. But I am not really a fan of Razer. Are there any other nice looking machines with good spec and build quality? What are people recommending these days? I haven't followed on anything but Macbooks for a long time. This laptop is going to be for PC user. Any recommendations?
  10. what about this one? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-LC27FG73FQUXEN-27-Inch-Curved-Monitor/dp/B07256D6KM/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=cfg70&psr=EY17&qid=1574426943&s=black-friday&sr=1-3-catcorr&th=1
  11. I am probably going to game on 1080, so that's a good call. However this monitor is currently unavailable in the UK
  12. Hello, I am looking to upgrade my old 24" 1080p IPS 60hz monitor to something better I am looking to something under 300£ (UK), 144hz 24inches or above 1080p or above. I would use it for gaming but not exclusively so nice colors are welcomed. I was looking at LG 27UK650 27 inch 4K UHD HDR 10 Height Adjustable IPS Monitor which currently goes for 350 which is above my budget but if i am getting 4k 144hz 27" i guess it's worth the difference? What you guys would recommend in and around this budget as best choice?
