1. That's my next plan for a computer case. There is so many options for computer cases these days and it is hard to choose, but there are limited options for what I want in a case. I want to make the test bench to be modular, where I can position and rotate pretty much everything. So, I want a skeleton frame test bench with rails. I saw a case that you could move the mounting holes for the motherboard, I think there were about three plates with holes that were placed. Most test benches are placed flat on a desk or the floor, I want to be able to push the motherboard tray, so that it is like a tower set up. Also, with the motherboard that can rotate, like in the Silverstone fortress, where the back I/O panel is actually on top of the tower. I could also rotate the motherboard, so that the I/O back is on the bottom or on the front. I never seen this on a computer case because I think most people have there computers in a shelf or on floor anyways, but I would like to rotate the 5.25" drive cage to face to the left or right. There are so many options that computer do have that I like, but there are a number that I don't see or do see, but the cases are too much.
2. I love the idea have water running through my computer or on my computer. But, all the hardware for a good water cooling is was expensive. My friend Tom suggested a couple of things for my water cooling solution. One was to put into a refrigeration. He had a difficult time of how you make it air tight, so that none of the cold air would escape from the casing. There are number of ways you can do it. He also suggested to safe money on water cooling parts is to find alternatives like the pumps and the tubing. The waterblocks are too hard to find alternatives. I found that most fish tank water pumps can be used because they have similar specs. Some of the pumps can be submerge in water. You could kill two birds with this method I guess. I could build a reservoir large enough for your coolant and your pump and place it in a couple of 5.25" drive bays. I know a lot of companies now are doing cpu waterblock and pump combination. I worry about that because if the pump shorts and all the water spreads on your motherboard - scary. Most tubing that you find at the hardware store is tested to not to leak in the first place. I have compared the thickness of cooling systems and the tubing at the hardware store, the hardware store tubing is thicker, but it does server the same purpose. You can also buy tubing thickness in thinner amounts. Just a suggestion for your next build
3. I like the idea, that they are thinking about the future of gaming. I remember in school we were talking the Phantom game console, where everything would be upgradeable, even the motherboard, where you would get a hard drive or so to play the actual games. The problem with this idea and game consoles is that you can't upgrade any the hardware. "Hello, Apple"... Well, pretty much any of the game console we have on the market. This idea is more for those who don't have anymore for a PC.
4. Not bad. I guess he can get a new computer in three years anyways.
5. My dad upgraded his computer to Windows 8 and he doesn't have a touchscreen monitor. I am still running Windows XP on my current build. I didn't felt the need to upgrade the OS, yet. But, I want to upgrade the OS for the new build because I wanted to implement DirectX 11.
6. There is an area I can still put a 240 radiator on top of the case. I was thinking of putting 1-140 radiator on the rear of the case for the CPU and then 1-240 radiator on top of the case that would lead into the GPU. I don't care about the 5.25" bay. I'll using external optical drive, I have a Blu-ray burner from LG. I like the 3770K because of the 20 nm, even though, this i7 only supports DDR3 1333 and DDR3 1600. It still has the hyper threading. The i5 Ivy Bridge CPU don't have the hyper threading. I don't like AMD CPU's because they overheat to easy in my area. The last build that I build with AMD CPU, I changed out the motherboard three times. My current build is a Intel CPU and I have never replace any of the hardware. I have had a couple of fans go out, but fans are cheaper than system components.
7. I have a couple of projects in the works and I also wanted to build a new PC. I know Windows 8 just came out and this planning does not support a TouchScreen monitor, but there is not a lot of affordable TouchScreen monitor out there yet. CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K Ivy Bridge Motherboard: ASRock Z77E-ITX RAM: Muskin Enchanced Redline 16 GB DDR3-1600 GPU: MSI R7850 2GB GDDR5 Boot Drive: Some kind of SSD (TBD) Other Drive(s): Not sure yet PSU: Maybe a Corsair. I like the modular power supplies. I want use Bitfenix Prodigy itx case. I prefer the black case and I would also like to modify it. I want to relocate the front panel from the side of the case to actually the front of the case. I was thinking of getting or making a Bitfenix logo done in a clear, so I could back lit it and also have the hard drive LED shine through this piece. Then the rest of the panel be where the 5.25" slot bay is. I got a lot of other planning, so I still thinking.
8. Mock install of the components. ** note: there is no RAM, hard Drive, audio I/O, and the outer case. This is the front to the mac mini. A small speaker on the front, PRAM battery (or I like to call it CMOS), and the shroud for the fan. I believe that PCB board in the right corner is the IR receiver. This is the right of the mac mini. You can see that the fan is pulling from the bottom. Next to the fan is actually where the heatsink and the CPU lie. I was thinking of cutting up the internal frame, so I can let more air flow. I did take off the top half of the fan shroud. If you noticed that the frame is not leveled, I think whoever opened this mac mini first cracked the frame. You can see that the optical drive almost reaches the back of the mac mini. This is the top of the mac mini, you can see that there is no area for anything. Below this optical drive would be a hard drive that is on the left and that funky fan and heat sink config. The motherboard or logic board.
9. Sorry, they were there. I guess I'll reload them on.
10. At the time, I couldn't and still can't wrap my brain around the vm portion of the hackintosh. The missmatch components that Apple did not consider, there are number of things wrong I do not like about that. I am not making a hackintosh, I am rebuilding a Mac Mini, which I consider a system build. The reason behind that is that I am getting pretty all the parts - RAM, hd and optical drives, input devices, NIC's, and OS. At the time, when I was trying to find a mITX build, this was the cheapest. I got a motherboard, GPU, and CPU combo for $50, and there is a case. I don't like the case and there were problems when I tore it apart. One being that the noob before me broke one of the screw holes that pretty much holds everything in place. When, I looked for a replacement bottom case, they were running about $100 and that is out of my budget. I did consider of taking the top of the case where that Apple logo is and putting a 120 mm fan before I found that out. I didn't want to replace the bottom with something I just fabbed up because of the top snaps on to the bottom and being a system builder I did not like that concept. I can found cheap acrylic sheets and build myself a case. And this brings up another thing about why wanted to build a case for this build, all the searching of finding modded cases or replacement cases. One guy made a lego and another guy build a mini Mac Pro out of thin sheets of plastic and painted. I want a solid case that is not from the original case or a metal frame with a condom over it. There was a robot with a Mac Mini and wheels and LCD screen, but the guy mounted the Mac Mini case and all to a LCD screen and it probably was a RC. I did found a company, I believe Lian-Li that made a case that did everything what I wanted, but it’s discontinued and no one sells them. I did look at the Bitfenix Prodigy case, but I don’t want a hackintosh really. What I really wanted at the time and still is a computer that is not a laptop that I can port around, hook into a LCD display, and not worry about my animals getting into my stuff in my bedroom. I got too many small things that I don’t want my dogs or cat messing around with in my room. I have a laptop, but I don’t like it because I don’t like the keyboard attached to the monitor and the laptop gets hot on my lap. If I had a computer that can sit on a table or just the monitor and I can sit comfortable to use it, which was my reasoning on getting the Mac Mini. I wanted to understand more what I could do with a Mac Mini like the internals and such. Right now, I want to just get it working and developing with I want to do. Another thing I wanted to get around the Xcode that iOS programming needs and my laptop is having a difficult time porting to my Android device.
11. I wanted to find a Mac that was affordable, so I looked on ebay for a Mac mini. I got a Intel core duo 1.66 ghz. I went ahead and got 4gb of RAM, 500gb hard drive, and the optical drive. I don't like the cooling solution that Apple made for this model, so my plan for the case is acrylic base for the logic board and the other side of the base mount the hard drive and optical drive. Then for the cooling I want cooling for the logic board and one for the drives. I was thinking of 2 120mm bitfenix fans exhaust on the cpu side. Any suggestion?
12. I like everything that you had recorded. What I loved and researched and harp right now is Asus RaidR and Corsair's new gaming mice.

4K OLED TVs

I love the OLED screens that are on my tablets with there clarity. I want to get three of them, even if they are 56", and do 3D surround. I seen on youTube 3D surround with smaller LEDs, but I never seen it with 42" and larger. The crisp and vivid display with gaming will take it to a new level with GTX or HD cards. I am still waiting for the Transparent Smart Windows, I still think that is a great idea.
