  1. Hello everyone! Lately i've been seeing a lot of ads on youtube about latency/ping boosters, from what i understand they are a kind of VPN that routes your internet differently to improve your ping (ex. GearUp and WTFast). I've always lived with high ping 100 ~ 140 all my life as i live in Peru and the routing isn't the best. So i was wondering if by any chance you guys have any experience with these services or if they are scams lol. I would install them and try myself but i just want to make sure they are not viruses or a danger to my PC (and not get charged since im broke and in the 3rd world lmao). I appreciate every and all responses, thanks!
  2. yes tested it on 2 different pcs, and 1 laptop with a usb adapter, when i plugged it in with the usb adapter it did show the 2 terabytes as free space and recognized the drive, but it wouldn't let me initialize it or create any partitions using either cmd or diskpart.
  3. i guess it must have some shitty file type made for security cameras idk, or maybe its just broken? i don't hear it spinning but it is recognized?
  4. This is the properties tab btw i dont know if it helps
  5. im not giving up but i dont know what to do lol
  6. yeah it gives me the same error :(, thanks so much for taking the time to help btw
  7. also not hot swapping, im turning it off all the way before switching sata ports, also used two different sata cables
  8. ok did that a bunch and it finally got recognized i tried initializing it but it gives me the same I/O error, but i go to properties and it says its a WDC WD20.... so it does know its there i guess it just wont show any capacity or anything
  9. now it just says that the device doesn't exist...
  10. Hey, long story short i changed security camera provider last week and have an extra hard drive from the other system we used, so instead of just throwing it away i decided to use it on my pc but it wont format or let me create any partitions for me to use, it says there's an I/O error. it is recognized though and it also says it is 0 bytes in size, I've used windows disk management tool and also cmd diskpart to try and fix the issue to no avail, please any suggestions? thanks. its a Western Digital Green Wd20EARx 2TB
  11. the diagram is what i want to achieve, the other description is the one i have right now. to complete my diagram in real life i need a converter from 5.1 cables to digital so i can connect my PS4. Weird that that 3rd wire confuses you, they are different colors, green, pink, and black here is a picture (i know my cable management is on point).
  12. So long story short i have had this Logitech 5.1 system for a while now and it is great, the thing is i have been using a super janky solution to connect it to my PC and PS4. This is how the thing goes 6 channel direct to an RCA converter, then it splits the RCA signal to two RCA to 3.5 mm jacks, one goes to my TV and then thru HDMI to my PS4. The other one (RCA to 3.5 mm jack) then goes to my PC thru a 3.5 mm hole in my keyboard, So basically a disaster. First this is shitty because it defeats the whole 5.1 thing cause it is receiving a stereo signal. My solution is as follows, from the 6 channel direct, split each one to two 3.5 mm jacks, then one end of each one connect it directly to the ports on my PCs audio ports, but then the problem is when i want to connect the others to my PS4, i was thinking an adapter from 6 channel direct to optical audio or something but i cant seem to find it, if someone can help find one or maybe have some other better solution i would really appreciate it. I am also attaching a sketch of what i wanna do maybe this helps :).
  13. Thank you for the response, where can i get faster ports? it said in the Tp link box it had speeds up to 300 mbps? should i return my Ap and get another one?
  14. so i just upgraded from 80 mbps to 120, and when i connect via Ethernet directly to my isp provided router it runs fine 120 mbps everytime, the problem arises when i connect via ethernet my isp router with an access point it then doesnt give me the full 120 mbps, when connected to the AP (Via Ethernet of course) it just gives me 80, and thats the same thing with all of my APs it just wont go above 80. so the diagram is as follows: Isp router - PC = 120mbps Isp router - AP - PC =80 mbps i need help i bought a new AP and cables just to get the full speed in my bedroom but id doesnt work ISP Router - Arris TG862 AP - Tp-Link TL-WR840N Cable - Cat-5e tried different cable lengths and nothing also tried all diferent modes on the tp link, as a router and as an AP
