DOCP disabled, set dram voltage to 1.35, made sure memory profiling stuff was off, manually set speed to 2666mhz, manually set all the timings to their stock saved, it boot looped for 30 seconds and came back in safe mode, at a loss honestly.
I change voltage and speed, bout it. Tried the 2666mhz at 1.35v and it failed. Perhaps I have a bum kit of ram? Dunno if having 4 dimms has to do with it or not.
I built a Ryzen based system a couple months ago (first build) and I didn't feel like dipping my toes into overclocking without learning anything about it, did a bit of research and tried to overclock my memory
Specs:
Ryzen 7 1700
ASUS Prime b350-Plus
32GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance LPX
GTX 1080
I attempted to overclock my memory and just going 2666mhz with 16-16-16-16-39 timings on 1.25v proved to be a fail. Not sure how timings work exactly.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
I tried it in another system, BIOS detected it, couldn't install windows on it, wasn't showing up
The drive I am using is an ST2000DM006
and the CPU is YD1700BBAEBOX (I think those are the skew codes?)
My problem is, I can't partition it because it doesn't even show that its there, its plugged up, it has power, but it just will not let me partition it or anything
I got a new Seagate 2TB Barracuda HDD, It shows up in my BIOS and in Device Manager, but when I go to disk manager It isn't there, I've downloaded Seagates tools and everything, No luck. I'm at a loss on what to do.
