A case fan is connected to the psu so it runs at full speed throughout , the sound is a big distraction when I am using my PC for light tasks . The Fan is this one which is a two header fan connected to the psu via this Molex 3-pin adapter , so can I cut one wire of the fan and add a on off switch in between. My major concerns are : 1)What type of switch to use because of the psu power output. 2) will it damage my computer as I have no Idea about this.
And yes I know that Fan power controllers exist ,I can't buy it so please don't suggest those .
