  1. Hi everybody, so I've got a really weird issue here and I've been looking for a solution for a while now, but at this point I'm out of ideas. I have a Samsung QM85F here that is connected to a regular Mini-PC. That PC will turn itself off via a software over network every evening and turn on via the same software every morning (wake on LAN). In approximately 90% of the days this is fine, the connected display turns on as soon as it detects the PC booting and displays the image. However, the rest of the time the display turns on but either doesn't display anything (but stays on until evening when the pc shuts off) or just displays a white image (and stays on until evening when the pc shuts off). I have four other displays in the same room that practically do the same thing and they work fine, but those are all Iiyama FT4938UHSC-B1AG. Thing is, they are also connected to a different prebuilt PC. The Samsung display is running on a HP ProDesk 400 G4 and the Iiyama displays are running on HP Z2 Mini G3 Performance PCs. I've tried using HDMI and DP, I've tried using/replacing HDMI to DP or DP to HDMI adaptors. I've looked through and tried all different power saving settings on the screen I could find, but nothing did help. Is there anything in Windows that I could maybe set up so this doesn't happen anymore? Or is it likely a problem with the screen? Is there anything else I could try? Is there a known cause for this? Unfortunately there is no practical way for me to just try tons of things as every attempt is a 3h drive both ways and then I have to wait for display to fail again, or not fail (hopefully). Thank you very much in advance.
  2. Thanks for the help everybody. I went to the shop yesterday and got it replaced with a 970 EVO Plus, unfortunately they didn't have the exact same drive anymore. Even though I can't 100% say that it wasn't the drive type that was the problem, at least it works now. So either the thing was defective or my motherboard doesn't like the 970 EVO ? Just had to plug it in, saw it in Windows and BIOS instantly.
  3. Alright so I just tested it without connecting anything but the mouse and in a second attempt without anything but the keyboard. Sadly, same result ?
  4. It does not show up in Windows. Specifically, neither in Windows nor in my BIOS. I tried installing the driver anyways but the Setup just spouts "no NVME device found". At his point I'll try anything I get my hands on. I will let you know. Thanks.
  5. So what you're saying is you bought a new keyboard and suddenly your NVME Drive showed up in BIOS? That really doesn't make any sense, at all.
  6. This is driving me nuts. I've bought a Samsung 970 EVO 500GB yesterday and I can't get it to show up in my BIOS. I'm using a Gigabyte B450 Aorus Pro Motherboard, and as far as I can tell both my m.2 slots on the board should be able to handle the storage. I've troubleshooted for four hours yesterday trying to fix it, but it simply won't be recognized by my BIOS or Windows. This is what I've tried so far: Updated my BIOS to the newest Revision available on the Gigabyte Website (F5). Some new settings showed up, for example the NVME Device submenu. No NVME Device found. Tinkered around with a million BIOS settings that were supposed to fix some m.2 NVME detection issues, none of them helped. Reseated the drive multiple times in both slots Disconnected all other drives but the 970 EVO At this point I'm out of answers. I consider myself relatively tech savvy so I doubt that I'm just too dumb to install it correctly (I even watched a video on youtube how to install m.2 drives just to be sure). By now I think the drive is simply broken, but maybe, just maybe, there's something obvious I just missed. Thanks in advance.
