  1. Hi, so earlier today windows was having trouble booting, and I ended up having to reinstall it. Fast forward to now, all my files are on my drives, but none of them are properly "installed". There are no applications on my desktop. Please let me know if I have to completely reinstall everything or if there is anything else to do without hassle. Thank you.
  2. Hi, I have had an aorus b450 pro wifi mobo for about 6 months with a ryzen 3 2200g, and have just went out to buy a 3600x and some g skill trident z memory. I knew that I needed to do a bios update but when I first got it I just put it in hoping it would work but it didn’t. After switching it with the ryzen 3 again, I downloaded the f32 bios update along with the EC FW update thing so that I wouldn’t have memory issues later on. After downloading the update, I downloaded the f40 update which is supposed to allow third generation ryzen chips to be compatible. After switching back to the the 3600x again, it first brought up a black screen with the text saying to insert boot media and restart or whatever so I tried restarting the pc, hoping it would work, and the most I got was the screen flickering to the aorus loading screen (shows bios, q-flash, etc), before flickering off. I thought there was still something messed up with the ram, so I tried reinstalling my old ram to see if it would work, but it still ended up doing the same thing. I eventually concluded that I was still missing some sort of update so I reinstalled the ryzen 3, and when I connected the power supply and flipped it on, the usual aorus falcon lit on for a moment, and off (normally happens) but when I powered on, nothing happened at all. Which leads me to this moment. sorry if this is littered with grammar errors or stupid things as I am not an avid pc enthusiast. thanks,
  3. the kingston ram is one stick so...
  4. I have 6 fans in my pc (not including CPU) each placed correctly (I think, as I watched a tutorial and some were flipped around pushing the air out or something). Also, I highly doubt this is doing anything, but I have a black knight funko pop from Fortnite sitting on the right side of my gpu. The temps in games are normal.
  5. OLD (prebuilt don’t judge): i5 7400, Gtx 1070, 16gb Kingston ram 2667 MHz, Acer predator g3 710 KBL motherboard, micron 1100 m.2 Sata ssd, toshiba 1 tb hdd. NEW: Ryzen 3 2200g, gtx 1070, 24 gb of ram (16gb Kingston, 8 gb Corsair vengeance 3000mhz), Aorus b450 pro wifi motherboard, (same storage). Also I did not mention this but I reinstalled windows on the new pc but after it was acting weird I Reset it and the windows booted from what I assume to be a modified version of windows from acer from the prebuilt (looked the same as when I used the prebuilt before).
  6. As I stated in a previous post, my 1070 has been acting very strange lately and giving weird framerates. Around 10 minutes ago I completed a userbenchmark benchmark and found out that my GPU had a 90% benchmark which was the 14th percentile! (86 performed better out of 100). The thing is, in previous benchmarks with my old cpu (i5 7400) the gpu was still around the 14th percentile but it performed "well" (Idk what 1070's should be getting) in games like overwatch and apex getting over 100 fps in each. Also, after doing a benchmark hours before, my gpu was in the 50th percentile, I thought it finally started working properly but when I watched the tutorial below, and did another test, the benchmark went down again. After restoring all the settings in the nvidia control panel, the benchmark was still very poor. Please help and bare with me as I am new to the Pc community thanks.
  7. yes and I just updated them before playing the game.
  8. Hi, so I recently purchased the Aorus B450 Pro Wifi motherboard with a ryzen 3 2200g as my old cpu was terrible. I downloaded many games and hopped on overwatch to realize my fps had been significantly lower (Before was 150-200 now was 55-80 and settings were exactly the same) the vram usage was lower and the temperature was around 20 degrees lower than before. I decided to download NZXT cam to see the clock speed and if I was even using the right gpu. After downloading it said GPU 1 was the ryzen one, which was weird, but then I remembered you could disable it in device manager. After doing so, it still said GPU 1. However, I was surprised to see the GPU 2 (1070) had a clock speed of 183. Later in the day I hopped on overwatch again with the same weird fps but when i checked cam, the clock speed was 1830. As of right now the clock speed remains "normal" at around 1500 MHz. I am really confused right now and please bare with me as I am new to the world of Pc's.
  9. sorry if this seems like a stupid question but do I need a wifi card even for ethernet?
  10. Hi, so I was thinking about purchasing this motherboard https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-B450-F-GAMING/ but I am pretty sure it has no on board wifi. I would obviously use Ethernet in this situation but if I do, will the router/modem still work wirelessly? like with my phone and tv? Please help, Thank You
  11. Hi, so i recently bought the corsair spec delta which includes 3 rgb fans which have 4 pin connectors. The motherboard I am planning on getting (B450 AORUS M) has a 12v rgb header but it has 5 pins so I am a bit confused as to if this will work or not. PLS HELP
  12. But it said it could control rgb fans so i assumed that it would work but it doesnt. Also, doesnt the node pro also have 3 pin connectors? (Btw my motherboard has no rgb headers)
  13. I recently purchased a Commander Pro and it worked great, I thought it would power the rgb on the fans of the Spec Delta because I would be purchasing it soon. I bought the spec delta yesterday but the rgb connectors are 4 pin instead of 3 pin like on the commander pro. Is there anything I can do about this?
  14. then why did the other people say that I needed an rgb hub and fan headers?
