  1. Hi I recently build a PC with ASUS Strix B550i and I noticed it comes with Audio USB Type-C (USB 2.0) so I got a speaker Pebble v3 https://sg.creative.com/p/speakers/creative-pebble-v3 but I have a few questions about this port in particular: 1. Why its USB 2.0 even though its Type-C, it seems weird to me, no? 2. How much power such port provides, because the speaker I bought mentioned it needs to be powered by 10W USB-C Port to work in "high gain" mode 3. I noticed this port (or any other USB port) can provide power when the PC is off, is there a difference in power supplied when the PC is on vs off? Also its interesting that those ports can provide power when the PSU is not spinning, how does it work actually? Thanks.
  2. Hi guys, I am planning to upgrade my PC to ROG STRIX B360-I and the onboard sound card sounds pretty cool and I was wondering how can I utilize it. So, first things first, currently I own a Mi TV 4A serving as my monitor (I know I know the input lag is bad) and its "receiving" the video (as well as audio) signals from a HDMI cable plugged to my GPU on the other end. Now this works well, but I was just wondering about the following: 1. How can I hook the onboard sound card to my TV? The onboard sound card comes with S/PDIF out and my TV apparently has a S/PDIF port too, can I just buy a S/PDIF cable and connect them like that? 2. If #1 works, I am guessing I should have a slight better sound quality? I ask this because I do not know how did the HDMI cable sends over the audio signal in the very first place, does it gets processed at the sound card beforehand anyway? If it does then it makes no sense to hook sound card with the TV anymore.
  3. Hi yes you're right, I missed that cause they're connected to a 4pin Molex splitter.
  4. They're RGB LED fan that comes with the case Q300P and I believe they can draw power for the RGB header on the motherboard which already carries 12V on 1 pin and 3 other pins to carry R/G/B
  5. The splitter looks like this. I don't have a X300 series board as I am planning to buy a new one now. As mentioned my options are: 1. ROG STRIX B360-I (cause I loved the onboard WIFI) but it comes with a 5V aRGB header which won't work with my splitter, correct? 2. A cheap board like ASUS PRIME H310M-A with 0 RGB header whatsoever, but I can plug my splitter onto the 4-pin CHA_FAN header? (just for the sake of learning, how would that work? I learnt that RGB fans pins structure is something like 12V/R/G/B but the 4-pin CHA_FAN header is actually ground/12v/tach,pwm, no?) EDIT: They dont have another 4pin PWM header as I believe RGB header already carries 12V on the first pin then 1 pin for each RGB

Each fans actually comes with a 4-pin connector (I assume its 12V as its not mentioned in the product spec page) and the case comes with a splitter so that I just need to plug the splitter into the MOBO and both fans would light up and spins). Now I have 2 options: 1. Get the MOBO mentioned above but it comes with 5V aRGB header which won't work at all ? 2. Get another MOBO that have either a 12V RGB 4-pin header OR no RGB header at all and I'll plug the splitter into the chassis fan connector
  8. Hi I currently own a CM Q300P case and it comes with 2 RGB LED fans and a splitter, now its not listed on the spec page but I think they are 12V non-addressable RGB LED fans. Now my questions are: 1. What would happen if I plug it into a 5V aRGB header on a new MOBO I plan to purchase (ROG STRIX B360-I GAMING)? Will it light up/spins? 2. If I now don't care about the RGB LED and I just want them to spin, can I plug the splitter into, saythe 4-pin chassis fan connector? Thanks.
