  1. Thanks a lot, you are a life saver, I almost cried thinking I done something wrong. The "CPU Smart Fan target" was disabled and my CPU Fan was going at 4700-4800 rpm, now I messed with the settings and is going at around 1500 rpm with little to no noise. The cooler I ordered and should arrive tomorrow got a 1200-2500 rpm fan in the specification, any clues as to what or how I should set the values to match that ? I am unsure about how to read those values, the way I set in the image below imply that the fan will run at 25% up to 50°C ? I am guessing the "Sys fan1 control" is for the back out-take case fan. Once again, thanks a lot.
  2. Hi guys ! I've recently managed to somewhat build my first PC on my own, however I ran into an issue and I am unsure if is because of the motherboard or something I might have done wrong. On my "new" system I am using a MSI B75MA-P45 motherboard for my old i7 2600 cpu as an upgrade from the basic/default ThinkCentre M91p (453A8G) motherboard I used to have, I installed the MSI board on my new case and moved all hardware slowly, double-checking everything, installing 3 additional fans on the front panel, installed my videocard vertically ...all looked good. Well, all is good, except when I turn on the PC my CPU Fan runs at maximum RPM and makes more noise than my vacuum cleaner and I can't figure out what's at fault here, I tried looking into bios and didn't find a way to limit that RPM, however I installed SpeedFan and noticed that when PC starts it gets default value of 100% RPM, once I lower it from SpeedFan to like 55-60% the noise goes away until I restart the PC. Could this be the fault of the motherboard or what do you reckon the issue might be ? I must mention that the motherboard is refurbished and they gave me 1 year warranty on it, just unsure if I should send it back or if there could be something else at fault. I ordered another cooler that should arrive tomorrow, but I worry the cooler/fan are the not the issue here. Please help.
  3. I've looked for socket 1155 motherboards but had no luck finding anything as they're pretty old and none of the shops got anything in stock, will try to look for a SH option, maybe I will have luck with that. Any suggestions for a good lga1155 socket motherboard ? Thanks a lot for your answer. LE : I got myself a MSI B75MA-P45, hope I made the right choice as it was pretty much the best available 1155LGA socket refurbished motherboard I could find.
  4. Hi guys, I`m somewhat new when it comes to building computers, I can manage to change parts but I never had the courage to actually change the motherboard from one case to another. I didn't have the budget to create some sick rig that could run last games and preform like a charm, however, I've managed to build a PC that's suitable for me and my needs, or at least that was the case before I upgraded my videocard to a gtx1060 6gb msi version, which is way too big for my current case and motherboard, making me lose access to some parts of the motherboard, and so, I've decided to buy a new PC case that allows the video card to be mounted vertically, I already ordered a Thermaltake view 27, a riser cable and some fans, they should arrive tomorrow, however, I did not take into consideration the front panel connectors and motherboard's pins. I am currently using an old i7 2600 cpu in my old ThinkCentre M91p (453A8G) motherboard, I would like to ask if you reckon I will have huge issues moving my motherboard to the new view27 case, looking around the web I ran into multiple topics that confused me and gave me reasons to worry, some people said that moving the M91p's motherboard to new cases could result in losing the front panel sound and usb function and some even said that they found it impossible to even make the power button work because of some issues with the pins, something (if I recall right) about one having 10 pins and one having 12 for the connectors. Could someone with more knowledge help out a newb and tell me if I went in over my head, and if I should in any way attempt to do this project on my own, or give up the dream of trying to make it work myself and just go to a "repair shop" and have someone else handle it instead ? Thanks in advance, much appreciated, I was somewhat hyped to try this but I am too worried now.
  5. Thanks for your answer ! I got confused by that 3.0, I thought it was something to do with the socket/slot from motherboard and that the riser wouldn't fit, I do not have much knowledge when it comes to that. Thanks once again!
  6. Hi. I own a Lenovo ThinkCentre M91p (453A8G) and I recently got a GTX1060 to run with it, however the videocard is too big for the case and I would like to get a new tower case and mount the videocard vertically using a pci riser. I live in Romania, sadly I didn't have the luck of receiving any decent answer from any of the multiple shops I contacted, most don't even know what a riser is or what cases would allow vertical mount, I know is sad for 2019 but sadly it is what it is. After I spent lots of hours looking for solutions on internet, I found a Thermaltake view 27 case that is in the budget and from what I gather it would fit my motherboard, but I cannot find any shielded riser in stock, just cheap miners ones. Looking around the internet, I found many PCI-E 3.0 on amazon and similar sites, would I be able to use that on my current motherboard ? I do not know what the 3.0 stands for or if my motherboard supports that, after downloading CPU-Z and looking around I noticed it only shows "PCI-Express" at Version and 16x for the max speed. Questions is : Can my motherboard support PCI-E 3.0 and if not is there any other way to mount my GPU Vertically ? Thanks any advance if you can find a minute and help me out.
