Is my only option is to buy a new SSD?

I already have another similar ssd in that slot and it's the boot drive.

I am trying to install below SSD in Ultra M2 PCI Express socket of my motherboard. But the system is not detecting the SSD (not even in the BIOS). Is it because I am installing a M2 SATA SSD in a M2 PCIE slot? Should I buy a new SSD? Any suggestions? I am looking to build a NAS for cheap. Any suggestions on the case and power supply? Would I need anything else (except for hdds)?

Buying it used from one of my peers for $40. Worth? 4-5 TB should be enough. Considering this is my first try at this, I am thinking of going for something cheap. Any suggestions on the drives and OS? Raid 1 sounds good.

Is it worth buying EVGA Nvidia Geforce GTX 960 SSC (Model number is 02G-P4-2966-B6) for $60? I will be adding it to a machine with Ryzex 1300X (which unfortunately is not working right now). I will mainly be using it to play CS GO and similar games.
