  1. Ok thank you. Whenever I try to look up laptop for graphic designer they always suggest ones for a broad work of graphic designing including video editing which I don't do. They always suggest gaming laptops with 4070s. I will look into some laptops with integrated Gpu.
  2. I'm going to school for graphic design and I'm looking for a laptop. I mainly use illustrator and InDesign. I lightly use Photoshop just for color correction and removing things. I also don't do video editing. I have a really good computer at home and this won't be my dedicated computer. I just wasn't sure for those Adobe programs if you needed dedicated GPU or not. Thank you.
  3. I got some new thermal paste (Artic mx-6) for the CPU and GPU. I'll make sure the CPU mount is good. I wanted to put some new on the GPU and clean it out because I'm pretty sure the previous owner used it for mining and the original picture was pretty dusty. They did get a lot of the dust out but, I just want to give it a deep clean.
  4. I mainly play Destiny. I bought thermal paste and a spreader but didn't realize I needed to buy stuff for the vram. I thought they already had thermal pads on it. I haven't repasted a GPU before. Would the thermal putty be good.
  5. Not really. The highest it gets is 83c which is the thermal limit. I just thought because the person I bought it from probably used it for mining that I should do that. In the original pictures it was really dusty but, when I received it they got most of it out. If you think it's good though I can leave it.
  6. I was going to replace the thermal paste for the GPU but noticed in a video that they use thermal putty on the vram. Should I buy thermal putty again for that or buy thermal pads? It's a used card so I wanted to clean it out and replace the paste. Thanks.
  7. I forgot I had a remote for my fans lol. I turned up the speed on them. It brought my CPU down to the '70s. It's louder but working. I think I'm going to just buy some better fans and clean out and repaste the GPU.
  8. I bought the gpu used. In the original pictures it was really dusty. They did clean it out but maybe I should take it apart and give it a deep clean.
  9. I tested when the fans got loud and the cpu was at 90, gpu was 84. Gpu fans got to 3000rpm and the case fans got to 2300rpm. I downloaded Fan controller and it couldn't read all case fans but one of them said it was at that speed. Room was 75 but it happens even if the room is cooler.
  10. I am having some cooling issue with my PC. I've watched the thermals on a couple games. On cyberpunk my CPU gets to 90° and GPU gets to Upper 80s. On Destiny the CPU and GPU get to the upper 80s. My fans will randomly go to full blast and get real loud. The fans are generic Amazon ones that I saw in Jayz video. I have a 5950x with a 360 Cooler Master AIO on it, 3090 FTW3, and a 011 with the fans in the back and bottom pushing in and the fans on the top pushing out with the Aio. Also my monitor is Odyssey 9 Neo. Any suggestions would be great. Thank you.
  11. I recently bought the 49" Odyssey G9 Neo and wanted to mount my previous 27-inch monitor above it. I also have an adjustable desk. What type of monitor arm would you suggest buying. Thank you.
  12. I have a o11 dynamic case and just bought a 3090 ftw3. The glass doesn't fit on the case because of the wires. Any solutions or case suggestions. Thank you
  13. I have solved the issue. Thank you. A family members just bought a Mac studio and they have two dell 4k monitors. The mac has thunderbolt 4 and the Dell has displayport 1.4. The displayport going in the monitor is a mini. I'm trying to find a adapter for it but having a hard time. A lot of them just say displayport but not what type. Also can I use a thunderbolt 3 instead. Does anyone know of a adaptor or a cable that I could buy. Thank you.
  14. I am trying to sell my a family members pc. It has a 9900k Evga gforce 2060 2x16gb Ballistx 3200 Asus prime 370 1tb Samsung 970 evo Corsair CX750M 240mm Corsair aio 4-240mm fans iCUE 220T case. It was used for design. I tried to look up the prices on ebay (I did look at sold only prices) and they add up to around $800. I haven't sold a pc before and wasn't sure how to price it. Ebay listings aren't always the best and with the market changing wasn't sure if they were still selling at that price. Thank you.
