  1. I would hope so... very little out there on the nets to explain what this is. Any other takers?
  2. running an RX 580 8GB- admittedly I've undervolted it and kept clocks to 1300Mhz instead of the 1340Mhz out of the box speed just so I can limit the fan curve to 70% at max. That's because it's a Powercolor red dragon that tends to run very hot and VERY loud. I can't stand the fan noise!
  3. _Syn_ they are both 8GBx2 kits - I just bought a bundle of 2 "LT" sticks and was curious about the difference from "AT". the AT might be better looking aesthetically (subjective) but it does seem to be priced higher at most retailers (Crucial's website has them priced the same).
  4. yes have enabled XMP - running at the rated speed (3200) - without XMP it was at 2400... I mainly compared performance in Apex legends (FPS), Resident Evil 2 and Unigine Superposition benchmarks - and the results were not materially different in terms of average FPS / scores I was seeing.
  5. Folks - what does this difference in specs mean? ---- Ballistix Sport LT (BLS2K8G4D32AESBK)--- Specs: DDR4 PC4-25600 • 16-18-18 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR4-3200 • 1.35V • 2048Meg x 64 • Ballistix Sport AT (BLS2K8G4D32AESTK)--- Specs: DDR4 PC4-25600 • 16-18-18 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR4-3200 • 1.35V • 1024Meg x 64 • as you can see the only difference is that last bit on mem config (2048Megx64 vs. 1024Megx64). what does this mean? any impact on performance... Follow-up question.... pairing RAM with Ryzen 5 1600. upgrading from Sport "AT" 2666 to Sport "LT" 3200. didnt notice any improvement in FPS despite being told Ryzen is sensitive to RAM speed and will see a boost. what has been your experience?
  6. Powercolor 580 is about $30 more in price than the MSI. And yes I'm asking to choose 570 Vs 580 (both are 8gb)...any quick takes on this one? Could use the help. Have already got the 570 running in the system but still within 30 day return period. Here's what I'm running if you're curious Ryzen 5 1600 16gb 2666 ddr4 ram B450 chipset board
  7. Hey community. Wanted your opinion on something - I just put together a new build for just ~$670 .,, and wondering if it is worth returning the graphics card (RX570 8GB) for a RX580 (also 8GB) - this switch will end up costing me +$50. Is it worth the price of the upgrade? this is what the rig looks like: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 (processor) B450M Aorus Pro Wifi (motherboard) MSI RX 570 8GB OC (graphics) --- want to point out that this is the 8GB OC version. it cost me $160 (not including $20 rebate that I haven't filed yet) DDR4 2666 16GB (8GBx2) If i go for the RX 580 it will be the XFX GTS XXX version (8GB, OC) ... what do you say? Also - does this build make sense? is it well matched etc... wasn't looking for a powerhouse, but this is a mid-range / low-end gaming PC. Happy with what I spent - let me know if at this price range (with those components) my choices are on point?
