  1. sooo update cops told me to f#$% off claiming some bs of "consensual fight" cuz apparently thats a thing in Canada when ppl try to kill you if you do anything at all in defense of self (according to the cops i was just supposed to let them beat me to death )because theres no justice no peace just the illusion for any wondering im now homeless crashing on a" friend's couch " although that probably has more to do with the housing bubble coupled with basically being unemployable but yea im not dead so im supposed to call it a win yay "gaming" on a 10ish y/o 660m
  2. my life without what im told is a lot of heavy indica pot+cigarettes+video games gets very unbearable very quickly
  3. @LogicalDrmthank you i was typing it on my phone and im admittedly horrible at words........i don't human much........ irl or otherwise
  4. thank you all again for reading and your well wishes
  5. have you tried defrag? and are you sure windows isn't doing anything like defrag or virus scan, win update..... it somtimes can be hard to know also maybe check task manager to see if too many un necessaries are running in the background
  6. the same lame f#$% wads that put said custom rig just plop in the back of a u-haul full of stuff with no packing or bracing for the gpu anybody got odds of survival for 400km ........go on make me smile i need it
  7. side note but this community actually helped me understand along with gn steve that a case is way more than just a steel box that the parts go in but a vital piece of the puzzle so thank you very mutch
  8. like the title says I just want to put what just happened to me somewhere that someone might appreciate how i feel right now.... so for those that just want the tldr my roommate of 1.5 years sent two goons to beat me up and steal my computer as seen in photos for those that want as much of the details as i can remember specs the what happened in that is....or possibly by now was a cpu 3950x gpu 5700xt mobo crosshair hero viii ram 32 gigs of 3600 cl16 g.skill ripjaws case lian-li 0-11 Dynamic psu seasonic focus plus gold 850W ups coolermaster ....idont remember but it did its job good and made my panic attacks every time the power went out stop storage nvme m.2 1 intel 660p 512 G os drive 1 Intel 660p 2 T steame drive lovable spinning rust 2 Seagate barracuda 8 T for various archival reasons cooling fans 8 noctua F12 industrial PPC 2000 rads 1 corsair xr5 360 1 corsair xr5 240 the ek classic front distribution plate for 0-11 d omg soooo nice ek quantum velocity on cpu....also super nice in nickel+plexi ek quantum vector on gpu...nickel+plexi very nice helped brighten the basement and an ek xtop revo d5 pump to help the one in the distro plate....it was struggling with the size and loop config i hadn't gotten a pic with the extra pump a hole pack of ltt store cable ties from ltx 19 i actually bought them too im sure there was other bits n pieces but yea head trauma and all so thats what was stolen i guess i should get to how so a little backstory i live in bc Canada where i live pot is legal and i have severe chronic post traumatic stress disorder among other disabilities to wich i use pot to deal with any way my now ex roommate was moving out 2 days ago now with 2 friends helping him. i was mostly just trying to not get in there way. after a while i went out to smoke and smoke pot. when i went to go in after i see his two buddies carrying out my computer and ups. i went to put my pot stuff down in my room. i made it to just outside my bedroom door and closed it turned yelled the obligatory wtf do you think your doing as they were rushing up to me they said they could take more the easy way or the hard way i refused they started with a couple haymakers each and then both proceeded to punch like hockey players or something. realy fast and many hits to my head 30+ before I lost count. while they where punching me in the head i managed to drag them both almoast the full length of my house all the way outside. i tried to stop them from closing the u-haul at this point but so many punches to the head they ended up driving away one just hanging onto the tailgate. the cops have been called and charges are being pursued if you made it this far thank you for reading this. if you understand how i feel thank you..... it sure was an awsome computer tho an absolute joy to operate and to quote George Carlin (i think) be excellent to each other
  9. y that ssd cuz its just a boot drive dont need more till later debug indicator and extensive io might not matter to some but they are worth a bit more to me(nothing elsewhere has 8+ usb 3.2 )also ram is also something to play with later 3200 cl 16 is fine cooler is later as explained no on the monitor no displayport also not cheaper the point is to squeeze it down a bit in price swaping stuff out to make a 10 dollar more thing realy isent all that helpfull just sayin
  10. its going to be a bit till i can do so but hopefully not too long
  11. awsome thats actually exactly what i wanted to hear
  12. @ I dont need 144Hz for security cameras.and that is all that monitor will do and i couldn't find a 60 Hz black and white. that board has no led indicator (yes that's a must) and it only has 2 pcie slots and i super don't need WiFi hard-line or bust also io im going to need lots of it the ram is more expensive and ram is ram 3 makers in the world everybody just reskins the stuff the case didn't that exact case literally fall apart in GNs review graphics card i really don't need the xt yet =gotta save somewhere buying m.2 boot later because budget cpu cooling i don't like water in computers so eventually will be probably going with a dark rock pro or something psu always go with reputable brands that you recognize and i have seen with my own eyes corsair psu's full of mud brought back to life so ya i trust them a little more mouse naga series is my personal fav it fits my hand very nice(i have large af hands) and once you go 17 button you never go back (yes i use them all) keyboard no macro . think Taran but not so many extras needed yet so i can settle for 6 on the side this is my logic also no unicorn vomit please red and black for the win also this computer is firstly a business thing secondly a business thing and thirdly a gaming thing not a look pretty thing i do appreciate both of you taking the time
  13. i took my asus g75v apart for cleaning and maintenance a couple months ago and when i put it all back together the battery light flashes at a steady pace. when googled it said that it was a charge fault. the battery could be dead.i am more wondering if its possible i forgot to plug a wire or something. because the thing works still im on it now typing this. so the power is definitely getting to board. just not through the battery because if i unplug the power adapter the computer dies instantly. its also been slower than before i cleaned out the dust (holy expletive the dust how did this thing not light on fire)ehrm sorry it had to be said. if its just pull out the battery so the stupid light doesnt flash cool. if i can take it apart and fix it cool. if none of the above ......eh we tried lol. thanks for the help in advance
  14. pcie gen 4 x16 slots x3 - super nice 4x memory slots - need for later led debug indicator (harder to find than i would like for cheaper) m.2 for boot drive( yes i know its not on the list but this is something i can buy out of pocket later yes i know it would be better to do first but budget) i also but only as a very minor consideration like the look as to the case not horrible airflow front io side panel CHEAP but (hopefully)not super crapy please warn if it is also somthing to upgrade later out of pocket to me (rebuilding is fun{yes im one of those}) mostly i just need headroom for security cams x4 also initial purchases are company expenses .upgrades are out of pocket hence some of the logic .things i can upgrade out of pocket will be things i can actually afford the upgrade for m.2 boot ,more ram, better case,3900x(this ones going to suck)hope this helps also any recommendations for eather
  15. im in bc canada. absolute max budget is 3000 would like to squeeze it down to 2500 looking to buy late aug 2019. the goal is video editing and uploading while interpreting 4 security feeds(separate monitor)while being able to play AAA titles in my off time at high or ultra with as many damn frames as i can get .later oc considerations must be made. the reason for the upgrade is my asus g75v is very out of date and will not work in the roles needed there are no usable old parts other than my power bar still works awesome . i found this at pc part picker kinda just looking for tweaks or mistakes that i made and yes im going to change the reference 5700 for somthing with better fans.also might go 3600x for price point PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor $433.50 @ Vuugo Thermal Compound Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut 1g 1 g Thermal Paste $15.47 @ Amazon Canada Motherboard Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero ATX AM4 Motherboard $474.50 @ Vuugo Memory Kingston HyperX Predator 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory $134.99 @ Powertop Storage Kingston A400 240 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive $39.75 @ Vuugo Storage Seagate Barracuda 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive $82.32 @ Vuugo Video Card Asus Radeon RX 5700 8 GB Video Card $469.50 @ Vuugo Case Cougar MX330 ATX Mid Tower Case $59.05 @ Vuugo Power Supply Corsair TXM Gold 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply $119.99 @ Amazon Canada Operating System Microsoft Windows 10 Pro OEM 64-bit $178.25 @ Vuugo Case Fan Noctua NF-P12 redux-1700 PWM 70.75 CFM 120 mm Fan $17.95 @ Amazon Canada Case Fan Noctua NF-P12 redux-1700 PWM 70.75 CFM 120 mm Fan $17.95 @ Amazon Canada Case Fan Noctua NF-P12 redux-1700 PWM 70.75 CFM 120 mm Fan $17.95 @ Amazon Canada Monitor LG 24MP59G-P 23.8" 1920x1080 75 Hz Monitor $130.00 @ Amazon Canada Monitor MSI Optix MAG241C 23.6" 1920x1080 144 Hz Monitor $284.50 @ Vuugo Keyboard Logitech G710 Plus Wired Gaming Keyboard $175.99 @ Amazon Canada Mouse Razer Naga Trinity Wired Optical Mouse $99.98 @ Amazon Canada Speakers Logitech Z506 155 W 5.1 Channel Speakers $129.99 @ Canada Computers Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total (before mail-in rebates) $2896.63 Mail-in rebates -$15.00 Total $2881.63 Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-08-05 19:18 EDT-0400 thank you and have an awsome day
