  1. so my friend bought a Dell Optiplex 790 he had the intentions of putting a GPU in it and turning it into his gaming PC and if the gpus we tried work we could have been playing some really cool games but with Me and my friends luck nope the only game he can play is Minecraft because that's the only game his Intel HD 2000 will actually play without lag and I was looking forward to playing big games like GTA V with him but we can't because his gpus won't work we've tried two gpus an RX 570 and a 3gb GTX 1060 and both of them are not working those cards are brand new and out of the box so they should work fine we knew the cards were detected because his integrated Graphics would just give him a message saying that there is a graphics card in the PCI Express slot but once we actually tried to use the GPU we would get no signal we've tried using UEFI mode nothing we are on the latest bios we heard something about turning off secure Boot and turning CSM on but we can't find secure Boot and last time I remembered my friend turn CSM on with the RX 570 and it didn't work we have tried contacting Dell technical support in the past but the crappy Dell employees are just like we haven't tested this card in your system so we cant help you we heard it could just be compatibility with the motherboard from other people but the thing that doesn't make sense is we've seen multiple YouTube videos where the 1060 is working in the Dell Optiplex 790 we are starting to get really annoyed by this problem and we're also starting to think that the PCI Express port May potentially be damaged but we were posting here to see if anybody might have any other solutions that might work
  2. I'm pretty sure the 6700 K supports ddr3l and my motherboard can handle the 6700 non-k as far as I know
  3. I just read that the kaby Lake processors don't support ddr3l RAM on Wikipedia but what about the i7 6700 k
  4. so I have a Aspire TC-710 and as far as I know it supports up to an i7 6700 but it's got a h110 chipset so im kind of questioning whether would support kaby Lake CPU or not or at least a 6700k if anyone owns a desktop like mine from Acer and has tried a kaby lake or 6700k please let me know if it works or not
