Battery life mostly bothers me when traveling and i don´t get the seat which has a powerplug in the train for example. when im working in the studio or playing on stage long battery life really dosn´t matter. cheers.

Thank you for answering. Weight or thinness don´t care. i forget to mention that it should be a 15". Long battery life would be better of course, but it is way less important then a fast and strong performance. And as i said: Im not a big gamer. The graphics card should be good but don´t need to be superb. I dont understand the question with the online store. I dont have a preffered one. It is more that iam researching the product to buy and then look where i get the best price and service for it. cheers.

I have a RME Fireface UC and im really happy with it. It has USB 2.0 . It is quite long on the market but still good quality. i dont want to buy a new soundcard.

Hello World, first i want to apologize for my bad english. it is not my motherlanguage. I need to buy a new computer for musicproduction and since im a lot on the roads it has to be a laptop. In the last 15-20 years i used apple only but now the time has come to switch and it will be a pc. The main reasons are prizes and dongles. Speaking of prizes: my budget is 2000-3000€ which should be more or less the equal with the prizes in $ on the market. more I/O more better. my good old rme soundcard takes usb 2 and my midicontroller etc as well. Thunderbolt and all what keeps me away from donglelife is welcome. 16gb ram is welcome if upgradeable 32gb would be much better. it should be more or less having near the power of an desktop (i know it cant but you know how i mean it.) maybe I7 and all that stuff... The only thing which is not so important for me is that the graphics card would be the newest and best... but if i don´t care. gaming laptop or not - i really don´t care as long it is working well for my tasks. After one month of researching i consider the following products: - Dell XPS 15-9570 (but i found complains about some audio crackles and dropouts with this product.... which would be a nogo specialy since i produce music) - Razer Blade 15 or pro (really like that look and the specs seem right to me but im not sure if there would be a better solution for me) maybe someone here has good advices for a pc newbie? maybe someone here is a musician as well and has laptop he/she would recommend? Thank you in advance.
