  1. Hey all. I am upgrading my pc in a few days and got a question about the memory. I am going to be running a Gigabyte Z390 Pro motherboard, Intel i9 9900k and an Rtx 2080 ti. I want to get some good quality ram but have no clue which brand or model would be best to get and would be compatible with my motherboard. I would greatly appreciate if you guys could give me some names you think would be a good choice. Thanks in advance!
  2. I heard Gigabyte has a great Z390 series. Do you think they are better then Asus or Msi?
  3. I have run tests and in AAA titles and my Cpu is bottlenecking. Benchmarks for gaming in 2080ti also show substantial improvements when paired with a 7700k and 9th gen ccpus.
  4. Wanna try to stay around or below the 200USD range. I got a full tower so I should be able go fit most. My current mobo is 12x9.6 inches
  5. Hey everyone. I recently bought an Msi Rtx 2080 Ti Duke OC for gaming on my a 34” 3440x1440 120hz ultrawide monitor. I currently have an i7 7000k, Asus prime z270-A motherboard and 16 gb 2133mhz ram. I am looking to upgrade my motherboard, cpu and ram. Im currently looking at the i7 9700k and the i9 9900k. Which motherboards and ram would best complement my new gpu and these cpus? If you guys can throw some links to parts from newegg I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks in advance.
  6. Thanks, I am keeping an eye out. Going back to my original question, will I be able to use the same cables already in my old pau or do I need to replace all the cables with the ones that come with the new psu?
  7. I currently have an ultra HS750 psu which is very low quality. My current rig is consists of an Asus Prime Z270-A mbo, i7 7700k, 16gb ddr4, rtf 2080 ti. The reason I am upgrading my psu is because I am also upgrading my mbo to the Gigabyte Aorus Z390 Pro in addition to an i7 9700k cpu to better complement my gpu at 3440x1440 resolution gaming. I plan on overclocking in the future so a good quality 750W pau should be good.
  8. Hey all. Tomorrow I am upgrading the PSU in my gaming rig from a 80 Plus Bronze 750W psu to a Corsair RMX 80 plus Gold 750W psu. Currently in my PC, all of the cables that run from my psu are very well organized and are hardly visible which took me a lot of work to do. When I upgrade can I simply unplug the cables from my old psu, replace it with the new psu and then just plug the cables back in? Never upgraded my power supply before so I am unsure if this is possible. Would I have to remove all of the old cables and replace the whole rig with the new cables that come with the new psu? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
  9. I understand efficiency doesn’t dictate quality. I am just curious if using my current power supply can cause damage to my hardware, particularly my 2080 ti. Thanks for the help!
  10. Okay I am going to upgrade to a gold rated psu. But after mentioning that theres a possibility my current psu could damage my hardware would you recommend not gaming until I grab a new psu. If there is any risk in damaging my 2080 ti I do not want to take it.

  14. Hey guys. I am looking in upgrading my current rig which consists of: Asus Prime Z270-A motherboard i7 7700k cpu Corsair H100i 240mm water cooling 16gb ddr4 2133mhz ram Msi Duke Rtx 2080 ti 256gb SSD 2tb HDD 80 Plus Bronze 750W psu I am looking in replacing my motherboard with a Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro. With the new motherboard ill be adding an i7 9700k with new 16gb G-Skill Trident 3000mhz DDR4 ram. I am hoping that it will be an easy swap and I can keep my old hardware but I am not sure if my 750Watt power supply will be sufficient. Will I need to upgrade my PSU as well? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  15. Hey all. I recently upgraded my rigs gpu to an Rtx 2080 ti from a 1080 strix. My current rig consists of: Asus Prime Z270-A Motherboard i7 7700k Cpu 16gb DDR4 Corsair Vengance Ram 80 Plus Bronze 750W Psu Rtx 2080 ti I am using an Alienware Ultrawide 34’ monitor to game at 3440x1440. Monitor is overclocked to 120hz. In many games I am experiencing 80-90% Cpu usage and around 80-85% gpu usage. I play Battlefield V, Anthem, Witcher 3 etc. I am getting 60-65 fps in these games. I really believed I could achieve 80 fps with my rig! I tried overclocking my cpu to 5.0 ghz and it helped very little. Is it looking like I should be upgrading my motherboard and Cpu or could the issue be related to something else? I’d greatly appreciate anyones insight on my issues. Thanks
  16. I believe so. It is also set to 120hz in nvidia control panel.
  17. My fps in AAA games like Anthem and Battlefield V is 60-65 fps. My refresh rate is overclocked to 120hz and no, I am not using VSync. I am using G sync however.
  18. Thanks for the reply. My fps in AAA games is hovering around 60 fps. I understand that at my resolution I am not to be getting 200 Fps but for my rig I thought I could achieve at least 80 frames in AAA titles.
  19. Hey all. I recently upgraded my rigs gpu to an Rtx 2080 ti from a 1080 strix. In many games I am experiencing 80-90% Cpu usage and around 80-85% gpu usage. I play Battlefield V, Anthem, Witcher 3 and WoW. I tred overclocking my cpu to 5.0 ghz and it helped very little. Is it looking like I should be upgrading my motherboard and Cpu or could the issue be relates to something else? I’d greatly appreciate anyones insight on my issues. Thanks
  20. That is what I was thinking. You think the 2080 ti will be okay with my rig? Just thought of the possibility of a i7 7700k maybe bottlenecking. What are ur thoughts?
  21. Hey guys, I need some help. I recently got the Alienware AW3418DW 34'' WQHD monitor. With my current rig I find that I am not able to reach that 90-110 fps mark in triple AAA titles and need help on deciding on what gpu will work best for what I currently have. My current rig: Asus Prime Z270-A motherboard Intel i7 7700k CPU 16gb DDR4 Corsair Vengeance ram 750w PSU Gtx 1080 Strix Alienware AW3418D WQHD monitor In order to take advantage is the 120hz refresh rate my monitor offers would upgrading to a Rtx 2080 be sufficient? I feel like the 2080 and 1080 are too similar to justify dropping $1000. Would spending the extra cash on a 2080 ti be better for my rig? I am looking for a solution that will help be achieve 90+ fps in AAA titles such as Witcher 3, Anthem etc. Thank you in advance!
  22. Thanks for the replies everybody. My last question is regarding the gpu I should go for. The rtx 2080 is much cheaper than a 2080 ti but I don't feel like upgrading to a 2080 from a 1080 justifies a $1000 price. Would an upgrade to just the 2080 be smart or does it make more sense to just spend the extra cash and crab the 2080 ti?
  23. Hey everyone. I have a gaming rig that currently consists of a Asus Prime Z270-A motherboard, i7 7700k cpu, 16 gb DDR4 corsair vengance ram, Gtx 1080 Strix, and a 750w psu. I recently upgraded to an Alienware 34 inch ultrawide gaming monitor with a resolution of 3440x1440 WQHD. I am not getting the performance I hoped in games such as WoW as well as triple AAA games such as witcher 3. I am looking in upgrading my gpu to an Rtx 2080 ti or Rtx 2080. My concern is the Cpu. Will an i7 7700k bottleneck these gpus or should it be okay? I am not really wanting to upgrade my cpu because that will require a whole new system refresh. Thanks in advance!!
