  1. Looking to get a M.2, main application would be for the boot drive and for some video game storage. Got a B450 Tomahawk, which I believe is PCIe 3 Looking to spend less than $200 dollars Ideally, it should have 1tb - 2tb I just don't know what I should get, there are a lot of them on the market and I don't know what would be appropriate for my needs. Thanks for your time :)
  2. Budget (including currency): my budget is flexible and I'm still in the planning stage. USD. Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: any game. I have hundreds of games, MW2 2022, Elden Ring, Skyrim, really anything besides mobas and RTS games. I have a RTX 3070, an Ryzen 7 3700x, 32 GB DDR4. I'm gaming at 1440p and I like refresh rate to be higher than 80.
  3. I'm not really into the water cooling scene, I've always kept with basic fan coolers. I figured I should probably get a non stock cooler, even though the one I have right now isn't bad. I was just wondering what would be the best CPU fan for my 3700x (in your opinion) for $100 or less.
  4. I had a software that would make my two 1080p monitors, my 1440p monitor, and my 4k monitor sync perfectly. It made it to were my cursor wouldn't jump around when you move from monitor to monitor. Does anyone know of a software that could help me out? I've totally forgot what it was called. if anyone has a suggestion, it'd be much appreciated.
  5. Bumping this thread because I don't know what else to do... He's tried installing the drivers again, and nothing seemed to help https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Predator-i7-10750H-Keyboard-PH315-53-71HN/dp/B08VKV5WQ1/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=laptop&qid=1619152886&refinements=p_36%3A-180000&rnid=2421885011&sr=8-5&th=1 that's the laptop
  6. His brand new 1.5k Laptop has Bluetooth, and now it's saying that it doesn't. I'll post our convo here If anyone could help, I'd really appreciate it Friend: I Restarted my pc and it says i dont have bluetooth now Me: Driver update? Friend: its gone i restarted like 3 times and under device manager its hidden now and wont let me enable
  7. I've had this CPU for about 8 months, just something that I ignored for a while. I've checked on it from now and then to make sure it's not running hot, but I never thought about the pattern. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't something out of the ordinary. Been spending the past hour carefully dusting it and looking at temps.
  8. Is this a normal pattern for the CPU temperature? (going from around 55c idle to 44c in a 10-15 second window, then spiking back up and repeating the process) I think this is normal, but I am a little paranoid about my rig (I baby it a little too much).
  9. I'm going on a vacation to the mountains for a couple of months, and I want to save some 4k content to a USB stick so I can play it on the big TV when I get there (the internet is bad up in the mountains). Does anyone know of a good way to download 4k vids off of YouTube? (YouTube premium is out of the picture, my budget is already stretched thin as is)
  10. Okay, I got it to work. I clicked on one of the grayed out monitors and I had to select 'extend desktop to the display' and I did that for the other grayed out one too. I got all 4 monitors working now, I didn't think check that box. thanks!
  11. They do show up when all of them are plugged in, but the two 1080p one's are small and grayed out for some reason.
  12. I was chilling, streaming some YouTube with my friend on Discord, then the power tripped. I have 4 monitors, 2 1080p, 1 1440p, and 1 4k monitor (the 4k monitor has a 3 in 1 splitter, not sure if that matters but there's that) When my PC came back on, only the main display (1440p) and the top display (the 4k one with the splitter) showed anything. What's weird is, when I unplug the 4k monitor, the two 1080p monitors started displaying normally. But whenever I plug the 4k one back in, the two 1080p monitors stop displaying. leaving only the main and the 4k monitor displaying. I tried unplugging every display cord, and doing a full shut down. Nothing. I tried booting in safe mode, no luck. I tried unplugging the splitter, and plugging the 4k monitor directly into the graphics card, still jank... The PC works just fine, it's just the weird thing with the monitors... does anyone know what could be the issue? Thanks
  13. There is a program that I am looking for that I had around a year ago. All 4 of my monitors are 27in, but the two on the side are 1080p 144hz, the main one is 1440p 165hz, and the top one is 4k 60hz This program in windows 10 made it to where my cursor could move between screens seamlessly, instead of the mess that Windows 10 try's to pull Does anyone know the program I am talking about?
  14. wait... I thought you had to use NVIDIA Surround to game on 3 monitors?
  15. So I finally achieved my quad monitor set-up. Initially, I only planned to run 2 monitors (my main display 1440p 165hz ips, and my secondary display 4k 60hz, vertically stacked). Then, after I threw an old 1080p 60hz monitor in on the left, I quickly realized that I wanted to run a triple monitor set-up, with a 4k 60hz on top. The only problem is... NVIDIA Surround doesn't want me to be happy. (for reference, the middle monitor is a 1440p 165hz, and the left and right one's are 1080p 144hz) The resolution was capped at 3072 x 768p 60hz, I couldn't change any of the settings. I initially thought that maybe you have to have the same resolution and refresh rate, so I knee capped my main monitor to 1080p 144hz (to match the others)... No luck, same result. Does anyone have any idea what the issue is?
  16. that might be it, the window that wasn't "active" was the window that started buffering first. Then, the other window would start buffering a few seconds later.
  17. Okay, so I wanted to totally stress test it. I set 2 vids (8k 60fps) and it was decently smooth (then again, I only ran it for about 2 minutes. The issue might arise when the videos have been playing for awhile
  18. So I put a benchmark video on my second monitor with the video being 2160p60 while I am watching a debate on my main screen, which is in 1080p60. But whenever I have both videos fullscreened, I will get the occasional freexzign of both videos... I honestly don't see how this can be happening. I have a 8 core Ryzen 7 3700x 32 Gigabytes of DDR4 ram (3200MHz) an RTX 2080 SUPER 858.7 Mbps down, 54.3 Mbps up Any ideas of what could be causing this issue???
  19. I totally forgot the reason why I was searching up my GPU on Amazon, it wasn't anything important. But I looked up RTX 2080 Supers on Amazon, they were all $1,000+ now I know that the RTX cards are pretty expensive, but when I bought mine back in January, it was only $750. Any idea why the sudden spike in prices? I wouldn't think it would be Covid-19, most places have been open for a couple months, so it shouldn't be a supply issue (at least not to my knowledge). Any ideas why this is? (More importantly, I could possibly flip my used 2080 Super for 1k and buy a 3080 when it comes out, lol jk)
  20. It worked! for some reason... Okay, so I reset the core volt and mem clock back to the default settings. After that, I tried just boosting the Memory Clock. And yeah, I'm up to +600 boost to the Memory Clock and I've gained a couple fps. Thanks! Also, a funny little aside, I forgot to remove the fps cap that I set on RTSS (170fps, I have a 1440p 165hz display, I don't need 500 fps when I'm playing old games). So the results that I'm getting from Heaven 4.0 are getting bottlenecked by my FPS cap, lmao (there are a few times in the benchmark where it sits at 170 for a few seconds).
  21. Heaven 4.0 for the stress test, and MSI Afterburner
  22. Oh, I guess I should've clarified (even though this is the Graphics Card section) Im attempting to overclock my 2080 Super
  23. I set the Memory Clock back to default and I got 94.4 fps, and Im using Heaven 4 for the stress and MSI Afterburner for the OC
  24. I put the Core Volt to 100% I set the power limit to 100% Temp limit to 88c (the most it would let me) I was able to get a steady +100 MHz to the Core Clock All's good so far, I started with 89 fps and got it to 94 fps with all the steps to this point. Then I went to start boosting Memory Clock. I bumped it up 30 MHz, and I went to 93.9 fps. I figured since it's such a small difference, it was within the margin of error. I then boost the Memory Clock +50 MHz, then I got 89 fps. I boost the Memory Clock 75 MHz and I was getting 73 fps... What's going on here???
