  1. Update: i played around with ram speeds some more, settling on 2933 mhz and 1.35v. That helped alot, but the pc still fails to output video when booting to windows more often than not, and it still flickers occasionally under load. Huge improvement though. The pc is usable for the most part, and in the mean time, i have contacted amd about the issue
  2. Yes, the board was ryzen 3000 ready out of the box, and i also updated the bios to the latest version to try to troubleshoot
  3. Hello. I just put this pc together for my wife (part list below). Everything went smoothly until i installed the display drivers for the vega igpu. Now the screen flickers, shows rainbow static for a second, and sometimes the pc freezes whenever it is put under a load. I can trigger it pretty reliably by either running cinebench or any graphically intensive game. When idle or doing only basic tasks, it flichers very infrequently if at all. When starting up, about 75% of the time, it will show a blank screen where the windows lock screen should be. Restart a few times and it will boot to windows. I can uninstall the drivers or start in safe mode and it stops, but obviously with only limited functionality. I am a relative newcomer to pc building, but based on search results, i have already tried the following: -Different monitor and hdmi cable - no effect -Adjust ram speed and voltage (ended up enabling the xmp profile - seemed to help a little) -Higher wattage psu connected temporarily - no effect -Older drivers, since someone said the same thing started after updating drivers on their existing build - no effect -Maybe a few other things i can't remember. 4. Hello everyone, new member here, working with a new build, fresh Win 10 pro install. First time builder. (specs below) Now, on my old PC, i learned that Win 10 no longer has an easy way to calibrate a joystick. A few minutes with Google and i found out that i can type "joy.cpl" into a run dialog and open the game controllers menu to calibrate, etc. as i did with previous versions of Windows. That worked great for however long Windows 10 has been out. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago. I finally was able to upgrade my PC by starting from scratch (thanks, in part, to LTT's YouTube channel). I quickly discovered a problem with calibrating a joystick. I use the Run dialog and type "joy.cpl", as before, and... nothing. It does pop up eventually, but behaves as though my PC isn't up to the task. I highlight the controller i want to calibrate and click properties. One extra click anywhere while waiting for the dialog to pop up to test or calibrate the controller and the game controller window says not responding. That's assuming joy.cpl even does anything at all. Most of the time, nothing pops up at all. Occasionally, if i dedicate 20 minutes to the task, i can actually calibrate a joystick. Hop into a game, and it works great... for a few minutes, then it loses the calibration and becomes useless. I should note here that the PC works great for everything else i've done. FPS games are fine, etc., just anything requiring a joystick is pretty much just a no go. I know that was a bit long winded, but if anyone has any input, it would be appreciated. Thanks!
