  1. I've tried both exFat and FAT32, neither work. EDIT: I've also redownloaded it many times. 99% of the time when i reformatted the drive i redownloaded the .PUP file
  2. Hello humans and not, I'm having an issue with my PS4, where it's bricked, and when I get to the screen asking me to insert a flash drive with an update file, it always either says it can't find it, or it can't use it. We've tried 3 different flash drives, 2 of the same brand (Eaget) and 1 SanDisk flash drive. None of them work, same error. We've swapped the hard drive with a 640 GB blank hard drive, and that also didn't work. Again, same error. I have verified over and over that the update file is in the right location [Drive/PS4/UPDATE/PS4UPDATE.PUP], and we've tried blanking the flash drive on 2 different machines on 2 different OS', to no avail. PlayStation Support has been of absolutely no help during this, and the PS4 itself has no warranty. Thanks in advance for any help, it would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Fixed! A friend sent me a quick 18 character solution: xrandr -s 1600x900 Is there a way to mark this fixed?
  4. Hello! I decided to set my screen resolution to 800x512 as a joke. Now, it's the only option in the Screen Display menu. My computer is pretty much unusable, and no xrandr mode adding has worked at all for me. Rebooting did not fix. If you need output of any commands, I will happily oblige. Thanks!
  5. Thanks for the help guys! I don't have a spare machine to connect it to, but the warranty is still valid, so I've filed a support ticket and am waiting to hear back from them.
  6. Hi all. My 2TB External Seagate drive recently started to not show as connected to my pc, and when I hold it to my ear, I can hear a faint beeping sound that occours around every 1 second. Help would be greatly appreciated, as this drive contains basically everything of mine. Here's some additional info: OS: Ubuntu 19.04 x64 lsusb output: Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0438:7900 Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub P.S.: I noticed that the description of the drive in lsusb says it's 1 TB. I know that this is a 2 TB drive.
  7. Thanks! I'll try this rn and if it doesn't work I'll come back. Going out in a bit so might go AFK for a while.
  8. Would using the tool from another Windows 10 machine do the trick? I have a laptop with it, but it's a different model from the desktop.
  9. Hi all. I screwed up my Windows install beyond repair (don't ask lol) and want to reinstall it. However, when I make a USB and put it in, it boots, but doesn't get far before throwing an extremely vague "A media driver your computer needs is missing." error. It doesn't specifiy which driver, and every solution i've found online hasn't worked (e.g. moving installation media to another port, etc.). Could it be a filesystem driver? I have Ubuntu 19.04 installed on the pc currently. Thanks in advance!
  10. Update 2: I completely reformatted the device through TWRP and re-flashed TWRP again to no avail. In Android Nougat itself i was getting erratic "battery too cold, pausing charging" or "battery too hot" messages. Seems like this phone's a goner.
  11. As some basic troubleshooting, you should try running memtest86+ or similar, and also check your hard drive for corruptions. It sounds like your network driver / card could be having issues, and maybe spamming requests that are making the network go insane. Try re-seating it, if possible, and also try re-installing the driver and checking for updates.
  12. Did you make sure to format it first? Is a connector loose somewhere? What kind of NAS are you using?
  13. Update: I reflashed the Recovery, nothing. Wiped Cache, Data, and Dalvik cache, still nothing. I really did use this phone a lot, so I do hope there's some way to fix it.
  14. Nah. Everything's just flipped on the X axis. But ty for the advice, i'll try that now.
  15. It does it in both recovery and OS. It started doing it after I attempted to install NexusOS on it, but it wouldn't boot and I was seeing errors in logcat, so I restarted. After that I got a stock ROM, put the zip on the phone's root (without installing) and that started happening in the recovery
  16. Heya, so I was wondering if there was any way from either TWRP Recovery or from Android OS itself to reset / recalibrate the screen. Currently, if i tap on the right side it taps on the left, and if i tap on the left, it taps on the right. Any help is appreciated, as it's currently a pain to use.
  17. Hi, it's me again, the guy who asked about running a Linux server on a Wii, here to ask more dumb questions :P So, what I want to do is have some sort of bare-bones Linux install that boots directly to Parsec and automagically connects me to my tower PC. I know it's a longshot, but I wanna see if it's possible. Any help is appreciated!
  18. ah... didn't quite think that part through... lol
  19. Hey, so I know this is a stupid idea, but I kinda wanna do it just for shits 'n giggles. I was wondering if it would be possible to use two Wii consoles as server machines for basic tasks such as hosting a Discord music bot, a game server, a simple webserver, etc. I know how to do all this within Ubuntu but from what I can tell, there's not really a way to install Ubuntu on a Wii. Any help is appreciated!
