  1. ahhhh! this is pretty overwhelming. I literally just took the recommended build from this forum. I don't understand how these parts are interchangable, or how you even find different parts. I have no idea why certain parts are good or not, I just know x & x things are required for a computer to run. I guess I'm just going to have to take a week and try to learn about computer hardware from google search, and hope my computer doesn't spontaneously combust.
  2. You guys are really quick and helpful! Thanks so much. Alright, so going with suggestions.. it seems I'm going to be looking to work on getting the Monitors later, and focus on the PC first. from the megathread, they are suggesting the below items.. But is this an end-all list of items I need for a computer? It doesn't seem to show any cooling, unless the case itself is cooling stuff? 3. Hey everyone. I'm looking to build a PC for streaming and gaming, along with regular activities, such as Netflix and Facebook. Stream quality is not of utmost importance, but I really don't want it to lag, or be 'fuzzy'. Currently using a really old computer from 2006, which was store-bought, and wanting to upgrade. Perfectly capable of building my own PC, as there are many guides on the internet.. However picking out parts for the PC is a nightmare. Ideally, I'd like to get 2 monitors & a PC for $1000 after tax / shipping, that can run most games on medium-high graphics. My price isn't hard-set, but I'd like to keep it close to that, if possible. I live in Canada, Ontario. I'm really new to all of this, and would appreciate if someone can help me pick out decent parts? I had checked out the 'mega thread', but it was confusing.. since I thought the CPU requires a cooler.. but there didn't seem to be one inside of the part picker thing? Sorry for being a noob. I'm really just looking for advice. Thanks!
