  1. I would recommend doing what you're comfortable with. The 1070 is a beast as-is and overclocking out of the box may be pointless. This is especially true if you're gaming at 1080p.
  2. The watts vs power connectors are not directly comparable. Likely, your 1070 has a much higher wattage ceiling for OC'ing than your 960 as well.
  3. I may be an oddity, but I have actually used them for purchases/transactions and it's quite useful when you're dealing with international/illegal/tax stuff.... Plus I'm a trader so their value isn't exactly as important as their change in value.
  4. Idk what happened with the forum, it posted to the wrong thread lol Srry OP
  5. ... forum messed up and posted to wrong thread @TECHSUPPORTFIXTHIS
  6. At what price? Paying for older generation cards - unless used and severely discounted - is almost never as good of a $/performance ratio as something in the 9xx or 1xx series that is new. Generational improvements are vast sometimes (although IIRC 6xx to 7xx wasnt huge). EDIT: Just saw you're in Australia - not sure how the market is for GPU's there so I will defer my comment to someone else. FWIW, I love my GTX 670.
  7. I am aware of the economics behind mining. I am not looking to mine BTC - that ship left for China and their ASIC's a few years back. Now I am interested in mining some relatively unused/smaller cap currencies for giggles/trading purposes. I am more interested in the effects of multiple GPUs and having one run constantly/if it will effect the RX 480. I haven't done too much SLI work where the cards are used so differently.
  8. Hey LTT, I have a GTX 670 in my current rig that I am in the process of transitioning out of using by purchasing a RX 480 or GTX 1060. When I replace this GPU, is it possible/wise to just push the card down a slot or two and run it as a dedicated miner and leave the new GPU as the sole display driver? I have plenty of power (900W), plenty of cooling, no noise complaints, and basically free electricity - plus I trade cryptocurrencies as a hobby so it's always nice to have a miner running. Bad/good idea? Thanks, Eric
  9. Hello! I have a Razer Blade 2014 edition that I am absolutely love, but because it is old and I am in classes 6+ hours per day, it seems my $2,700 laptop's battery doesnt want to last more than 2 or 3 hours. As such, I am looking to get a Chromebook to throw in my backpack and take to class! I tested out the Acer Chromebook 14 at Best Buy (yuck) and thought it was pretty decent, especially considering the money. Before I pull the trigger on the Acer, I was wondering if the lovely people at LTT had any better suggestions or reviews of this product. Thanks!
  10. Considering the CPU/GPU performance levels, it was a great battery while it lasted (3+ hours of BF4) but has degraded significantly since then, unfortunately. Thanks. I looked for about an hour today and couldnt find anything. Was hoping someone on LTT may have had insight.
  11. Is it possible to source the battery without going through Razer? Apparently they charge around $250....
  12. Hello, My Razer Blade 2014 has been having severe battery issues (100% - 0% in less than 2.5 hours on light web browsing) and I am looking to somehow fix these issues. I am having difficulty finding the replacement battery part. I have contacted their support and they have sent these instructions: I am planning to try these tricks but I have a feeling a full battery replacement is in order (especially after 2+ years of heavy usage). By the way, anyone still thinking of buying a Razer Blade: just do it. It's absolutely amazing, even two years later! I paid $2,700 for mine and can't imagine getting an even better one for hundreds less nowadays. Thanks! Eric
  13. Since I already basically have the K70, maybe I will pick up a Ducky and try it out!
  14. I was looking at this: http://www.amazon.com/Storm-QuickFire-Rapid-Tenkeyless-Mechanical/dp/B007VDKLLM/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1420672354&sr=8-9&keywords=ducky+keyboard Perhaps just the short version of my K90 would be a good idea? (the K70 is only $115) http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Mechanical-Keyboard-Backlit-CH-9000076-NA/dp/B00M5DUJQ0/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1420672354&sr=8-8&keywords=ducky+keyboard
  15. I've heard fantastic things about Ducky keyboards, tbh. The ballpark for money is around $100 (Ill update my OP to include this).
