  1. The only problem I have is this (pic below). I have no idea what interfaces would be equivalent since they do not sell it anymore.
  2. I might just end up getting a snowball with a arm but I could go with the 3rd set-up from the video he did a while ago here with a mic arm and shock mount. Not sure if that would be better since it is xlr and can be upgraded.
  3. After looking through and trying to ask for opinions on a xlr mic setup, I was wondering if I could just get a good usb mic setup instead. What I do: Sing / Youtube voice overs. Price: Around 100$ usd What the price includes: Mic, mount, pop filter
  4. What interface / stand / pop filter should I get ( / does it matter) also is a shock mount worth it?
  5. Already seen it, also not really relevant to the question. I don't like Blue's line-up because of hearing its performance and not being satisfied. I would, but I am not sure about spending the extra 50. One thing I was thinking of however is https://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-AT2020-Cardioid-Condenser-Microphone/dp/B0006H92QK with some interface, stand, and pop filter. What are your thoughts on this? I don't trust Aliexpress and it sounds a bit sketchy. Not interested in duel input.
  6. Have been searching for a while down, but no matter how much I search I have no idea what to get. What I do: - YouTube - Singing Budget is 150$ usd for the a Microphone, interface (if needed), Stand, Shock Mount, Pop Filter. Thanks for any responses / help.
  7. It is the budget for everything, and I can work on my technique. Edit: It could be that my headset is kind of bad that I have to boost the mic +10 and not my voice.
  8. Hello, I have been wanting a actual mic instead of a headset for a while now and Fifine K669B seemed like a good option. However I have no idea if there are better options for around the same price range. In addition I have no idea what stand or pop filter to get. My voice does tend to be on the softer side if that helps in making a decision, but I when I get excited / angry I can escalate my voice quickly. Mostly I am looking to just get a better sound then from my massdrop x sennheiser pc37x. My max budget would be around 100$ usd, but if there is something better around 150$ I am willing to spend the extra for the sound quality. Thanks ahead for any replies.
  9. Yeah, I was looking at those @AAJoe and am considering picking one up. The only problem is that I have no idea what to get since there are so many.
  10. I think I will go with the Modmic 5 and HD 280 Pro then. Thanks for the advice!
  11. Wow, so much info to take in @AAJoe! Thanks for the advice! Like I said I am flexable with the price, I was kind of thinking of stretching it, What would you recommend? Part of me was thinking of this (even though I thought it is way over the original amount). https://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD280PRO-Headphone-new-model/dp/B00IT0IHOY?th=1&tag=linus21-20
  12. @Nimrodor Thanks for the advice but I think AAJoe has a better explanation on what to get for my situation.
  13. Kein, I am here for opinions of people who actually know this information like myself and not people like you who add nothing to the conversation. Posting here is part of my "homework" as you put it. You can't just rely on one or two sources and posting here allows me to gather data more efficiently as there are people here who likely know more then me on the subject and would be able to give a suggestion or helpful recommendation since I can't decide between two options. If you actually read my post, you would find that I was asking for preference, not asking for basic information for headphones as there is a whole board of pre-answered faq on the audio page. Please think before you type. If you don't know something, then learn what they are talking about and make a recommendation based on that or don't post at all. Simple as that. Just as a side note you assumed that I haven't done research prior and also assume that I didn't know about headphones. If you bothered to look at my selections of headsets, you would find that they are both recommended by people in the LTT forum and by other reviewers.
  14. If you don't know about mics and headphones then why reply? I already know that info and based on the depth of what you said, I most likely know more then you.
