  1. So I ran cinebench out of curiosity, and I decided to switch my 1060 out with an old hd 7850, again, out of curiosity. But then the 7850 got a higher score than the newer 1060. Can someone explain???
  2. When I was buying the processor I was much less thoughtful and kinda pushed away the fact it had integrated graphics and focused on the "deal" of $10 off.
  3. The case, MSI Twin frozr III hd7850 (I think), and Zotac amp! edition gtx 1060 were each given to me. The case is a Thermaltake urban s31. I have two graphics cards bc the hd7850 was given to me first and the 1060 was a gift a few months later. I kept the 7850 included bc I have no idea if the 1060 actually works, it's used and was in bubble wrap. If you were looking for a build with even a little rgb, I'm sorry I wasted your time. Storage is a kingston 240gb nvme m.2 ssd and a 1tb wd blue 7200rpm hard drive. I forgot to put them in the pic.
  4. oh ya, I forgot to mention I will very likely be using a dedicated graphics card
  5. I have a ryzen 5 2400g and Im not sure on what ram speeds are supported by the cpu. My motherboard will probably have 4 ddr4 slots and I will be using 2 sticks of 4gb ram, what speed should I get?
  6. Thanks everyone. Can I get some reccomendations for a storage solution with 1tb or less?
  7. I really dont care that much for speed as a first build, as long as it runs somewhat smoothly, Im good. Especially considering the amount of money I have and am willing to spend.
  8. Ive recently been slowly gathering and purchasing the essential components to build my first system, and Ive ran into an obstacle. I have purchased a 240gb nvme m.2 drive already and at first I was sure I was set for storage. Then I started worrying if a measily 240gb was enough. I do have a 1tb wd blue disc drive, but it currently has over 100gb of xbox 360 game files on it. Is it safe to just use this for my pc until I can get a replacement?
  9. Thanks everyone (now i just hope i didnt kill the thing with static electricity...)
  10. So I've been watching LTT for about 5 months now and doing so has gotten me liking pc gaming over console gaming. I also have wanted to build my own pc and have a few parts. My teacher (who is kinda gamery) was kind enough to give me his old pc case and graphics card. The case is a thermaltake s31 and the graphics card is an msi twin frozr III r7850. I recently bought an amd ryzen 5 2400g quad core with vega graphics on. Idk whether I should include the old dedicated graphics card in my build or if the vega graphics on the cpu is the better bet.
