  1. Thank you guys for the replies! Currently, all I have is a 1080p monitor so that will suffice for now. I do plan on buying a new one when I do the full system upgrade. Currently I do not have an overclock on the CPU so I will make that change as well! Follow up question for the 2060, is there a model you would recommend? Or at least stay away from? Thank you again!
  2. Hey everyone! Tax returns are right around the corner for us in the US and with that comes a little bit of leasure money for me. I haven't put much into my gaming PC in a while so it got me thinking, I really want to build a new computer but wouldn't have all of the money right now... So should I save this extra cash for a day that I can build an entire new computer or could I upgrade my gpu now to get some more years out of my current rig? Below is the main parts of what I use as my daily driver: EVGA Gtx 970 (forget the actual model...) i5-3570k 16gb Corsiar Vengeance ram 500 gb Samsung 860 Evo 2TB hard drive storage I want to get the most out of my current system and it's not entirely holding me back from the games that I'm currently playing. It would be nice to play them on high qualities or get more that 45ish fps though haha. So I guess I'm asking, is my PC more of a lost cause or could I get a few more years out of it with a new GPU? If a new GPU is the answer, I was thinking about a RTX 2060. I don't know what one to go with though... Thank you all in advance!
